HAMILTON Anna S. Ferko, 100, died Feb. 2 at Genesis Eldercare-Mercerville Center.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong area resident.
She was a lifelong parishioner of St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, a member of the Church’s Altar/Rosary Society and a member of the Elderberry Club of St. Raphael Church.
She was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna Buddy Scerba Sr., sister of the late Michael Jr., George, Sr. and Elizabeth Scerba and Mary Sykes. She was the wife of the late Michael J. Ferko.
She is survived by her daughter, Ethel Tonne of Hamilton and son, Michael Ferko of Hamilton; her grandchildren, Beverly and her husband, Raymond Ashworth, of Hamilton Square and Marc Ferko of Hamilton; two great grandchildren, Jennifer and her husband, Brian Mullen, of Browns Mills and Sean Ashworth of Hamilton Square; three great-great-grandchildren, Ian, Aidan and Cailin Mullen of Browns Mills; her sisters, Helen Rauba of Bordentown and Bert Stevulak of Hamilton; her brother, Thomas Scerba of Columbus; her sister-in-law, Jean Scerba of Trenton; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. on Feb. 7 at Kutch Funeral Home, 215 Grand St., Trenton.
Office of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. on Feb. 7 at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church with Father Gregory J. Noga as celebrant.
Calling hours will be 5:30 to 9 p.m. on Feb. 6 at the funeral home. On Feb. 6 the Rosary will be recited at 5:45 p.m. and Parastas will be held 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Interment will be in St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Cemetery No. 2 in Hamilton.
Marjorie L. Roan
MANCHESTER Marjorie L. Roan, 81, died Feb. 2 at home.
Born in Hyas, Saskatchewan, Canada, she came to the United States in 1927 to Greenbrook. She lived in Bloomfield before moving to Manchester 33 years ago.
Before retiring, she spent many years working as an operator at Fluid Chemical Co., Lakewood.
She was a member of the Greenbrook Fire Dept., Ladies Auxiliary.
She is predeceased by her husband, Robert H. Roan and her sister Doreen Romano, and two brothers Raymond Swanson and Widmer Swanson.
She is survived by two sons, Robert H. Roan, Jr. and his wife, Maria, of Florence Township and Clifford James Roan of Roebling; a brother, Gordan Swanson and his wife, Edith, of Hallandale, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Feb. 6 from 7 to 9 p.m. and Feb. 7 from 10 to 11 a.m. at DeGraff Lakehurst Funeral Home, 119 Union Ave., Lakehurst.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. on Feb. 7.
In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of choice are requested.
Frank Borgia
LAS VEGAS, Nev. Frank (Francesco) Borgia, 95, died Feb. 2 in Columbia Sunrise Hospital of Las Vegas.
Born in Italy, he moved to the United States at the age of 12.
Mr. Borgia was a graduate of Columbia and Rutgers University. He was employed with the Trenton Board of Education and taught the Romance languages at Trenton Central High School for 35 years.
Upon retirement, Mr. Borgia was the owner/operator of Villa Park Studio of Trenton for 25 years, where he specialized in photo restoration.
His additional interests were music, painting, and sculpting.
Mr. Borgia moved to Las Vegas in 1995.
Son of the late Joseph and Josephine Borgia, he is survived by his wife, Ruth Borgia; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Michiko Borgia of Hamilton Township, and Anthony and Rhonda Borgia of Las Vegas; four daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Vincent Pumilio of Bordentown, Gaeta and Henry Iseicz of Hamilton, Angela Borgia and her fiancé, Phil Walsach, of Yardley, and Genevieve and Donald Costantino of Hamilton; 14 grandchildren: David, Michael, and Frank Budden, Theresa Moldawsky, Melissa Manno, JoAnna Borgia, Alyssa Torres, Angelica DiNatale, Andre and Anthony DiNatale, Benjamin, Gabrielle, and Alexander Costantino and Nicholas Borgia; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Feb. 7 at 8:30 a.m. from the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. from St. Gregory the Great Parish Center, 4690 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square.
Interment will follow in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
Relatives and friends may call Feb. 6 from 6-9 p.m. at the Colonial Home.
Contributions may be made in Mr. Borgia’s memory to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Kerwick Waters
HAMILTON Catherine R. Kerwick Waters, 83, formerly of the Chambersburg section of Trenton, died Feb. 1 at St. Francis Medical Center.
Born in Trenton, she moved to Hamilton, 30 years ago.
She was a former member of Immaculate Conception Grammer School, Cathedral High School and St. Anthony’s High School parent teacher associations and a member of Holy Angels Senior Citizens Club.
She retired in 1984 from the New Jersey Department of the Treasury, Division of Pensions, where she had been employed for almost 15 years.
She was the daughter of the late James and Agnes Concannon Kerwick and the widow of the late J. Donald Waters, who died in 1973 and the sister of the late John, James, William, Robert, Thomas, Charlotte Kerwick Kelly, Helen Kerwick Healy and Mary Kerwick Phelan.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Beth Waters of Hamilton; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Donna and Robert Winkler of Yardville, Kathleen and John Burns of Greenville, S.C. and Sharon, with whom she resided in Hamilton; six grandchildren, Barbara Wig of New Egypt, Donna McKeown of Crosswicks, Meghan and Courtney Burns of Mt. Pleasant, S.C. and Erin and Casey Waters of Hamilton; three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Abby and Eric Wig; a sister-in-law, Pauline Kerwick of Hamilton; a lifelong friend, Elizabeth Bruen of Hamilton and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The funeral was held from the Buklad Memorial Home, Hamilton.
Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, Trenton.
Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, under the direction of Joseph P. Horan.
The family prefers donations be made in her name to the Poor Clare Monastery, 1271 Langhorne-Newton Road, Langhorne, PA 19047-1297.

Kocon Monroe
TRENTON Julia S. Kocon Monroe, 85, died Jan. 31 in the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, Hamilton Township.
She was born in Trenton and was a lifelong area resident.
She was a homemaker and a member of St. Hedwig Church.
Daughter of the late Mark and Katherine Gnacek Kocon, wife of the late Ralph Smith and Frank Monroe, sister of the late Walter Kocon, Josephine Metz, Agnes Reali and Belva Dye, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Patricia A. Smith of Titusville; a sister, Nellie Purcell of Hamilton Township; two grandsons, Robert M. Smith and wife, Pamela, of Bordentown Township and Richard J. Smith and wife, Lisa, of Ewing Township; three great granddaughters, Heather Lynn, Nicole Renee and Alexis Taylor Smith; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at Kowalski Funeral Home, Trenton. Clergy of St. Hedwig Church officiated.
Burial was private in St. Hedwig Cemetery, Ewing Township.
