The Mercer County Office on Aging will be providing a prescription drug plan for senior citizens and disabled citizens that are not currently enrolled in a prescription insurance programs.
The new Mercer County Prescription Savings Program (MCPSP) will create a countywide buying group that will provide discounted pricing for prescription medications for senior and disabled citizens who are currently without any prescription insurance.
The program will be open to Mercer County residents who are 55 years of age and older or disabled residents of any age who are receiving federal Social Security Disability benefits.
To be eligible an individual may not be covered by another prescription insurance program. There are no income limitations for participation in the new program. Participants in the plan will receive a prescription drug card and receive savings for prescription drugs at participating New Jersey pharmacies.
