The Clara Barton School PTO is holding a chocolate meeting 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13.
Back to school night
Bordentown Regional High School is holding back to school night 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13 in the school’s auditorium. For information contact Principal Frederick D’Antoni at 298-0025.
Breakfast
Holy Assumption Parish of Roebling is having its all-you-can-eat breakfast from 8:30 to 11 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16 at McGrath Hall. Adults, $4; seniors 65 and older, $3; children age 6 to 12, $2; and children 5 and under are free.
Florence Garden Club
The February meeting of the Florence Garden Club will be held on Monday, Feb. 17, 7.00 p.m. at the Alterra Sterling House, 901 Broad Street, Florence. Dues are now due: $10 for an individual and $15 per couple. The Club is sponsoring a trip to the Philadelphia Flower Show in March anyone interested in going should call Judy King at 499-2405. Towel and Linen Sale
St. Mary’s School PTA is organizing a Towel and Linen sale, from Saturday, Feb. 15 to Monday, Feb. 17, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This fundraising event will be held in the St. Mary’s School Gym, 30 Elizabeth Street, Bordentown. Twenty-two categories of quality name brand American made linen will be sold from original factory cartons at mill wholesale prices. Items include towels, blankets, rugs, pillows, comforters and more. Home-made baked goods also available for sale.
Special education
Bordentown Regional School District Special Education Program is holding a public meeting from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in the high school’s library, 50 Dunns Mill Road, Bordentown. The program is undergoing the state’s self-assessment process designed to assure procedural compliance and program quality for students and is interested in the public’s input. Girl Scouts
Town and Country Community Girl Scouts are selling cookies until Feb. 18.
Daisy and Brownie troops will hold a dance-a-thon from 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21 at Northern Junior High cafeteria.

Book group
The book group will meet 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 19 at By the Book, 150 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown to discuss "A Glass Bell" by Anais Nin. All are welcome. For information call Arlene at 298-3334.
Workshops
Christian Education Center Ministries, Inc. presents a series of workshops entitled "Hope for the Hurting". Dr. Paulette Wilson will be the speaker. These meetings will be held on the fourth Saturday of every month, starting Feb. 22, at 4 p.m. at the Judah Christian Cappuccino Café and Bookstore, 316 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown.
Workshops are based on Dr. Wilson’s book and workbook "In the Valley with a Promise: Hope for Hurting Women. Light refreshments served and café will be open. Freewill offering/sponsorship will be accepted to help defray expenses. Call 609-499-4845 for information.

Trash or treasure
The Trinity United Methodist Church will hold its monthly sale from 9 a.m. to noon on Friday and Saturday, Feb. 21 and 22, at the education building, 2nd floor, 339 Farnsworth Avenue, Bordentown. Featured this month: Easter baskets and clearance on curtains and drapes.
Roast beef supper
The Hedding Methodist Church is sponsoring its annual roast beef supper with seatings at 5 and 6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Reservations are required by calling 324-0729. Proceeds benefit mission programs.
Souper flea market
The Friends of St. Mary’s School is holding a souper flea market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22 in the school hall and school yard, 30 Elizabeth Street, Bordentown. Jewelry, collectibles, linens, toys, soup, hot dogs, egg salad and tuna salad sandwiches. Inside tables are $10, outside spaces are $5. For information and to reserve a space call Sally at 298-7768.
Board of education
The deadline for filing nominating petitions to run for position on the Northern Burlington County Regional Board of Education is 4 p.m. Monday, Feb. 24. The election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15. School board candidate kits are available at the local school district office. Chinese Auction
The Columbus Home and School Association will sponsor a Chinese Auction Event on March 7, 2003 at the Northern Burlington High School Cafeteria. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and calling starts at 8:00 p.m. Admission is $5.00. With your admission you will receive a door prize ticket, one card of 25 tickets and free refreshments. St. Patrick’s Day Run
A St. Paddy’s Day 5K run and 2-mile fun walk will be held on Saturday, March 15, sponsored by the Bordentown Regional Education Foundation and the Bordentown Rotary Club. Registration 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at Clara Barton School, Crosswicks Street, Bordentown. The 2-mile walk begins 8:45 a.m.; 5K run begins 9:30 a.m. Pre-registration by March 7. Antiques Appraisal
Day
The Ladies Auxiliary to Post 8838 VFW, Roebling, will be hosting an Antiques Appraisal Day on Saturday, March 8, starting at 1 p.m. The cost is $5 for each item to be appraised no jewelry, weapons, furs or large furniture. Mr. Ron Shaffer, member of the International Society of Appraisers, will be on hand to appraise items and he is as entertaining as the Antiques Road Show seen on PBS TV. Squad members
The Roebling Rescue Squad is accepting applications for active, contributing and canteen membership. Training is provided for all members. Scholarships
The Springfield Township School and Community Education Foundation, Inc. is offering a $500 scholarship to a graduating high school student who presently or formerly resides in the community and attended the Springfield Township School District.
