return to college

90.5 The Night is teaming up with Raritan Bay Guitar Repair of Adelphia and Music Makers of Wall Township for the award-winning 90.5 The Night Guitar Show, the only guitar show on the Jersey shore.

The show is a combination of vendors selling guitars and accessories, plus local artisans, live music and guitar clinics. The sixth annual 90.5 The Night Guitar Show will be held on Feb. 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Robert J Collins Arena at Brookdale Community College, Lincroft.

Brookdale Public Radio is a member-supported public radio station with artists from a variety of backgrounds.

Raritan Bay Guitar Repair, the founder and co-sponsor of the sixth annual 90.5 The Night Guitar Show, is a full-service repair center authorized for Fender, Gibson, Guild and Epiphone guitars among others.

Music Makers, Route 35, Wall Township, is sponsoring the show for the third year and is the Jersey Shore’s music store for musicians, disc jockeys, recording studios, churches, schools, music departments, universities, theatres and night clubs.

Advance tickets are sponsored by dreamguitars.com and will be available throughout Monmouth and Ocean counties at select locations. For ticket outlets see www.90.5thenight.org/guitar.

This year’s show will showcase local artisans as well as the finest in guitars. Many free workshops will be offered to help guitarists and amateurs master numerous techniques and styles, including a workshop with Richard Lloyd, of the pioneering punk band Television, a live "Guitar School" with popular Box of Blues host Dave Mac, plus workshops on guitar repair, a variety of performance clinics and much more.
