Women’s American ORT will sponsor "An Evening of Good Taste" Feb. 24, 6:30-9:30 p.m. at The Greystone Manor at Van’s Freehold Inn, South Street, Freehold.
The event is open to the public and will feature all-you-can-enjoy samples of specialties from more than 20 chefs from local restaurants. Caterers and restaurants will donate their individual specialties, ranging from appetizers to entrees to desserts. Proceeds from the sale of tickets will support the ORT network of vocational and technical schools worldwide. Tickets are $40 per person in advance or $45 at the door. Participants will be able to sample a variety of cuisines, including American, continental, Indian, Italian, Chinese and Mediterranean.
To date, the following restaurants, caterers and specialty stores have registered to participate: Apana Indian Cuisine; The Cutting Board; Gary Sells Ice Cream Too; King Wok; Olde Silver Tavern & Grille; Sal’s Meats, Italian Deli & Catering; Tuscany Italian Specialty Foods; and Wegmans, all of Manalapan.
Establishments from Freehold set to participate are: Greystone Manor; Greystone Restaurant; Main Street Bistro/Courtyard on Main; My Way Italian Bakery; Marielle’s Restaurant and Supper Club; and Trattoria Portobello.
Also participating are Norkus Foodtown, of Manalapan, Freehold and Point Pleasant; Cuzzins New York Deli & Restaurant, and Sammy’s Sweets & Treats Inc., both of Marlboro; New Castle Imports, Englishtown; Gateway-Perrone Wine Distributors, Mount Laurel; Millennium Restaurant, Edison; Trabelli’s Ristorante, Old Bridge; and Twinings Tea, Clifton.
Music for the evening will be provided by Music Express of Englishtown under the direction of Richard Vulpis. Decorations will be provided by Carol Cohen of Balloons ExtraordinAIR, Manalapan.
