Hillsborough Township’s Credit Card Committee has announced that non-profit senior citizen and youth organizations within the township are invited to apply for grants until March 13.
Twice each year, the committee awards grants to local senior and youth groups using the proceeds from the township credit card program. Grants totaling $17,698 were awarded in the second half of last year.
The Hillsborough Township Affinity Credit Card Program was established in 1995 to provide funding assistance for local non-profit organizations representing senior citizens and youth organizations. A percentage of all money charged with the cards is given to the township.
Applications may be obtained at the township offices in the Municipal Complex on South Branch Road, along with guidelines to complete the applications. Applications for grants in the first half of this year must be turned in by March 13.
