Margaret Ruglio Schulte, 71, died Feb. 6 at her home in Pennington.
Born and raised in Bloomfield, Ms. Schulte married her high school sweetheart, Francis H. Schulte, in 1953. From 1965-96 they resided in Glen Ridge, and in Pennington since 1996.
Ms. Schulte taught fifth grade for 18 years, most of it at the Demarest School in Bloomfield. In addition, she was a volunteer director of Religious Education at St. Peter Claver Church in Montclair for many years. In Pennington, she served as a C.C.D. teacher at St. James Church and as a volunteer at the Pennington Public Library.
Ms. Schulte is survived by her husband of 49 years, Francis Schulte; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kurt and Kris Schulte of Hopewell and Christopher and Susan Schulte of Morristown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen and Aneillo Cerreto of Livingston and Kathy Schulte and Patrick Amaral of Princeton Junction; and six grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass and Tribute Celebration will be held at St. James Church, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington, on Saturday (Feb. 15) at 10:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. James Youth Ministry, 115 E. Delaware Ave., Pennington, 08534.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Blackwell Memorial Home, Pennington.
