Forcier-Descoteaux

   BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — Constance A. Forcier-Descoteaux, 81, died Feb. 23 at her home.
   Born in Pawtucket, R.I., she has lived in the area for the last 49 years.
   She was a homemaker and member of the Bordentown Township Senior Citizens.
   She was a member of St. Mary’s Church of Bordentown and belonged to the Altar Rosary Society, Our Lady of Sorrow Perpetual Adoration Society and the Legion of Mary.
   Wife of the late Arthur H. Descoteaux and mother to the late Robert C. and James A. Descoteaux, she is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law; Barbara M. and Larry Michaud of Omaha, Neb. and Peg L. and Reid M. Mitchell of Doylestown, Pa.; a brother, Girard Forcier of Falls Church, Va.; a sister, Therese Casavant of Rantoul, Ill.; seven grandchildren and a great-grandson.
   Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown.
   Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.

Douglas W. Spray

   FLORENCE — Douglas W. Spray of Florence died February 15.
   He retired from 3M Corporation in Bristol, Pa.
   He is survived by his wife, Joann L. (nee White) Spray; two daughters and sons-in-law, Karen Leigh and Bill Napier and Andrea Kristina and Chris Mack; two sisters, Joan Jermoluk and Eileen Grover; and seven grandchildren.
   Interment was at Lawnview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in his name may be sent to Redemption Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, 8001 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19152.
Charles R.

Mitchell Sr.

   .NEW HANOVER – Charles R. Mitchell, 63, died Feb. 22 at his residence.
   Born in Bordentown Township, he was a lifetime area resident.
   He worked in the construction trade all of his life, most recently with Bob Blauth Construction Co. in New Egypt.
   He was a member of the H.C.C. Hunting Club.
   Husband of the late Barbara J. (nee Novatkowski) Mitchell, he is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles Mitchell Jr. and Brian and Michelle Mitchell, all of Cookstown; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and David McTamney of Yardville; a brother, Stanley Mitchell of Hamilton; two sisters, Ellen Schoenberg of Allentown and Marion Jablonski of Michigan; five grandchildren, Jesse, Taylor and Kylee Mitchell and Barbara and Meaghan McTamney; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services will be held on Feb. 28 at 11 a.m. at the Tilghman Funeral Home, 52 Main Street in New Egypt. Interment will be at the North Crosswicks Cemetery in Crosswicks.
   Calling hours will be Feb. 27 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Alan Birkholz

   FLORENCE — Alan "Bill’ Birkholz of Roebling died suddenly on Feb. 21 at home.
   Mr. Birkholz was born in Mount Holly, the son of the late Patrick A. and Mary E. Elberson Birkholz.
   He was a Mount Holly resident before moving to Roebling in 1953.
   He was a 1939 graduate of Rancocas Valley Regional High School and General Motors Institute and was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII serving in New Guinea, Solomon Islands and the Philippines Liberation.
   He also served 25 years in the Army National Guard.
   He retired in 1982 as a supervisor from the New Jersey Motor Vehicles Inspection Station in Mount Holly with 25 years of service. He was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Roebling and Chief Elder since 1975. He was a member of Good Intent Fire Co., Mount Holly since 1940 and charter member of Goose Pond Sporting Club.
   Husband of the late Julia Csolti Birkholz, he is survived by six nieces, Phyllis Titzell of Roebling, Rosemarie Lynch of Roebling, Kelly Purcell of West Palm, Fla., Pat Caserta of West Palm, Fla., Elizabeth (Mimi) Csolti of San Francisco, Calif. and Kerry Csolti of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; two great-nephews, Arthur Titzell III of Roebling and Philip Titzell of Robbinsville; two great-nieces, Patti Caserta and Megan Caserta, both of West Palm, Fla.; and two godsons, Dennis Kimble Salem and Mark Kimble of Lambertville.
   Funeral services were held at the Hungarian Reformed Church of Roebling with the Rev. Daniel Cline officiating.
   Interment was at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, North. Hanover.
   Arrangements were under the direction of Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, Roebling.
Florence A.

Holzmann

   BORDENTOWN – Florence A. Holzmann, 93, of Bordentown Township died Feb. 22 at her home.
   Born in Jersey City, she moved to Bordentown 13 years ago.
   She was a homemaker.
   Wife of the late Fred, she is survived by a son, Edward; two daughters, Marilyn and Caryl Holzmann and a son-in-law, Raymond French, all of Bordentown; two sisters, Marjorie Beakes and Eileen Foley, both of Texas; a sister-in-law, Virginia Beakes of California; a grandson, Michael Harper of Maryland; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral service was held at the Peppler Funeral Home, Bordentown.
   Interment was in the Bordentown Cemetery.

Mabel Daley

Taggart

   BORDENTOWN CITY — Mabel Daley Taggart, 88, died Feb. 21 in the Mercerville Center.
   Born in Avon, she had resided in Mill River and Great Barrington, Mass. before returning to Bordentown.
   In the 1940s she operated a gift shop in conjunction with her father’s hardware store in Bordentown after which she opened an antique shop in Massachusetts.
   She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown for many years.
   The daughter of the late Allen and Gertrude Daley and the wife of the late Robert Gordon Taggart, she is survived by her stepmother, Charlotte B. Daley of Bordentown; cousins Dorothy West and William and Harold Applegate; a close friend, Mary Pursley and Henry G. Tutek, her attorney-in-fact.
   The funeral was held from the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, Bordentown with burial to follow in the Bordentown Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be from 1 p.m. until the time of service.
