Charles Leyhane

   LAWRENCEVILLE. — Charles H. Leyhane, 80, died Friday, Feb. 21, at Morris Hall in Lawrenceville.
   Born in Queens, Mr. Leyhane was a resident of Ewing and Beverly Hills, Fla., until moving to Lawrenceville two years ago.
   He was employed with the Singer Manufacturing Company in Elizabeth for five years and formerly employed with Kearfott Aero Space in Little Falls for 10 years.
   Mr. Leyhane was an Army Air Corps veteran as a test pilot for the B-29 aircraft during World War II.
   He was a member of the Elks in Florida.
   He was the son of the late John and Mary Scully Leyhane and widower of Leona Watkins Leyhane.
   Surviving are three sons, James C. Leyhane of East Greenbush, N.Y., Thomas B. Leyhane of Ringoes and Kenneth S. Leyhane of Stony Brook, N.Y.; and seven grandchildren, James Leyhane of Syracuse, N.Y., Kevin Leyhane of East Greenbush, Meghan Malone of Morristown, Andrew Leyhane of East Greenbush, Erin Leyhane of Lambertville, Brian Leyhane of Stony Brook and Vanessa Leyhane of Stony Brook.
   A memorial service will be held at St. David Episcopal Church in Cranbury at a later date.
   Memorial donations may be made memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, Central New Jersey Chapter, 12 Roszel Road, Suite C203, Princeton, 08540.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the A.S. Cole Funeral Home, Cranbury.
Samuel Oliver

   HOPEWELL — Samuel S. Oliver, 82, died Saturday, Feb. 22, at the Cranbury (N.J.) Center.
   He was the son of the late Mary and Casper Oliver and widower of Mary F. Oliver.
   Born in Solebury, Mr. Oliver lived in the Blawenburg area for many years before moving to Hopewell.
   He was an Army veteran of World War II.
   He attended school in Montgomery Township, Somerville High School and Jersey City College.
   Mr. Oliver was the former owner of J&S Auto Parts, which he founded with the late John Boice.
   He was a member of the Hopewell Valley American Legion Post 339, a charter member of the BPOE, Lodge 2129, the Hopewell Fire Department and the F&AM Lodge 155.
   Mr. Oliver was preceded in death by his sisters, Jennie Ficarra and Anne Soriero.
   He is survived by two sisters, Margaret Mandracchia and Grace Cacciolillo; a brother, Joseph Oliver; and many nephews and nieces.
   A funeral mass was held Tuesday at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, Hopewell. Interment followed in Highland Cemetery.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Cromwell Memorial Home, Hopewell.
Harold Ashton

   LAMBERTVILLE — Harold K. Ashton, 79, of Lambertville died Sunday, Feb. 23, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township.
   Born in Lambertville, he was a lifelong resident.
   Mr. Ashton was a custodian with Best of France Antiques in Lambertville.
   He was a lifelong member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lambertville. He was a member, past president and past vice president of the T-Club at Hunterdon Medical Center.
   Mr. Ashton was the son of the late Theodore and Elizabeth Kitchen Aston, brother of the late Eleanor Scheetz and uncle of the late Donald R. Scheetz.
   Surviving are his nephews and their wives, Lawrence F. and Brenda Scheetz and Robert H. and Patricia Scheetz, all of Lambertville; several other nephews and nieces, great-nephews and great-nieces.
   Services will be held today (Feb. 27) at 10 a.m. at the Van Horn-McDonough Funeral Home, Lambertville. The Rev. Daryl Wilson, pastor of the church, will officiate. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Lambertville.

Marilyn Lindblad

   WEST AMWELL — Marilyn Smith Lindblad, 67, died Sunday, Feb. 23, at Shore Memorial Hospital, Somers Point.
   Born in Middletown, Ohio, she had lived in Lambertville since 1962 and in West Amwell since 1970.
   She had worked part time for Kline’s Stationary Store, for Lipton Tea in Raritan Township and had retired from Pitman-Moore.
   Daughter of the late Hale and Ada Kunjel Smith, she is survived by her husband, Raymond G. Lindblad Sr., one son and daughter-in-law, Raymond G. and Janet Lindblad Jr. of Lambertville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Steve Kiley of Ringoes and Melody and John Anderson of West Amwell; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Bud and Virginia Smith of West Carrollton, Ohio, and Jack and Mary Lou Smith of Middletown; and six grandchildren.
   Funeral services will be held today (Feb. 27) at 2 p.m. at the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. Burial will follow in Holcombe-Riverview Cemetery, Delaware Township.

Norma Keown

   DOYLESTOWN — Norma Keown, 84, died Sunday, Feb. 23, at Heritage Towers, Doylestown.
   Born in Lambertville, she had lived in Rosemont for more than 40 years and in Doylestown since 1998.
   She worked at the Rosemont Corner Store for many years.
   She was a member of the Stockton United Methodist Church.
   Daughter of the late Hendrious and Alma Reed Sacren and widow of Frank, who died in 1982, she is survived by a brother, Walter Keown of Collingswood, N.J.; and a nephew, Darryl Krapf and niece, Kathryn Infante, both of Quakertown, Pa.
   Funeral services will be held today (Feb. 27) at 11 a.m. at Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville. Burial will follow in Rosemont Cemetery.
   Calling hours will be from 10 to 11 a.m. today at the funeral home.
