Valerie Pieper

   MANVILLE — Valerie J. Pieper died Saturday Feb. 22, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. She was 56.
   She was born in Camden and also lived in Plainfield before moving to Manville 19 yeas ago.
   Mrs. Pieper was a payroll-benefits clerk for the Manville Board ofEducation for 10 years, retiring in 1998.
   She was very active as a Girl Scout Leader and with the Manville High School Band Parent Organization.
   She was a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bound Brook.
   Surviving are husband, Albert W. Pieper; one daughter, Michelle A. Basilone of Manville; a son, Michael W. of Old Bridge; her step-mother, Marie D. Blazer of Florida; and one step-sister, Christie Blazer-Burda of Florida.
   The funeral will be held today at 9 a.m. from the Ketusky Funeral Home in Manville, followed by a 10 a.m. Funeral Service at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Bound Brook. Burial will be in Hillside Cemetery in Scotch Plains.
