FREEHOLD TOWNSHIP — Police are seeking information about a man who is being sought in connection with his approach to a young boy at the Freehold Raceway Mall.

According to information provided by the Freehold Township Police Depart-ment, the incident occurred near the Planet X store when the man asked if he could touch the boy.

According to police Lt. Bob Bright-man, the incident took place at about 1:30 p.m. Feb. 20.

Police said the man, who showed the boy some money before asking for the sexual favor, was wearing a large black coat and had a scar or cut over his left eye and a cut on his lip. He was reported to have had acne and discolored, crooked teeth, Brightman said.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5 feet, 7 inches tall, 150 pounds, with a medium build and dark hair. Police said the suspect may be in his mid-30’s.
