The Freehold Area Running Club’s Nestle Beverage Co. St. Paddy’s 10-Mile Run will be held on March 16 starting at 11 a.m. There is an accompanying Windmill Leprechaun 5K race that goes off at 11:15 a.m. Both races will start and finish at Michael J. Tighe Memorial Park, Georgia Road, Freehold Township.

The St. Paddy’s 10-Mile Run is one of the top road races in the state and takes runners around the scenic back roads of Freehold Township.

The 11th Annual Mark Mirabelli Track and Field Clinic will be held at the Peddie School in Hightstown. Registration will be held from 9-9:15 a.m. with the clinic starting at 9:30 and running through 4:30 p.m.

Mirabelli, an All-American javelin thrower is the camp director. Among those on his staff are Olympic bronze medalist high hurdler Jack Pierce; Lamont Smith, a Olympic gold medal winner in the 4×400 relay at the 1996 Olympics; two-time Olympic middle distance runner Matt Centrowitz; and Kevin Toth, currently ranked second in the world in the shot put.

The track and field clinic will cover the sprints, hurdles, distances, shot put, discus, javelin, high jump and long jump.
