The Monmouth County Fire Police has announced the roster of its new officers for 2003. Elected as president of the countywide organization was Robert Yamello, West Long Branch. Elected chief was Jane Beckenstein, Freehold, and Long Branch resident Frank Anastasia will serve as deputy chief.
The group also honored Freeholder Theodore J. Narozanick for his "support and invaluable assistance throughout the years."
Area resident ‘Employee of Month’ at Monmouth
Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, has announced that Maria Grandinetti has been named its Employee of the Month for January. Grandinetti has been employed at the center for more than 30 years.
She serves as a patient-care associate in Monmouth’s surgical day stay unit, and was recognized for "consistently going above and beyond the scope of your job description in mentoring and supporting all with whom you come in contact" by Frank J. Vozos, M.D., executive director of the center.
Grandinetti joined Monmouth in 1969 and worked at various clerical positions before receiving training to become a patient care associate. She and her husband Peter are residents of West Long Branch, and owners of Mr. G’s Place in the West End section of Long Branch.
City planning, GIS firm adds new partner
Thomas Planning Associates, LLC, a city planning and GIS consulting firm, is pleased to announce that Andy Thomas, P.P., A.I.C.P. has joined Thomas A. Thomas as a partner in the firm. Andy Thomas will be providing professional planning and Geographic Information System (GIS) services to municipalities, counties, utility authorities, and private clients.
Andy Thomas is a licensed professional planner in New Jersey and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. He has a master’s degree in city planning from Florida State University, Tallahassee. Andy Thomas previously worked for a private consulting firm in Middletown as a principal planner and headed the firm’s GIS program.
Andy Thomas will be working at the Thomas Planning Associates’ Ocean Township office at 1411 Route 35.
