Marine Corps League Detachment No. 197 will hold a roast pork dinner from 3-7 p.m. on April 6 at Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4589 home, Daniel Road, Spotswood. Cost is $8 for adults, $4 for children under age 12.

The league is seeking new members. All honorably discharged Marines, or those currently on active duty or active reserve, are eligible. Fee to join is $25. Members are entitled to use special leatherneck license plates.

Anshe Emeth plans

March 30 blood drive

Congregation Anshe Emeth of South River, 88 Main St., will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on March 30. Participation is sought to relieve the community blood shortage. Appointments are not required; 17-year-olds are welcome. For more information, call (732) 257-4190.

Brandeis women to offer weight management talk

The Middlesex County Chapter of the Brandeis University National Women’s Committee will offer a lecture titled "The Benefits of Weight Management" at 1:30 p.m. on April 2 at the South River Public Library, 55 Appleby Ave.

Guest speaker will be Miriam Handler. Admission is free. Members and nonmembers are welcome.

The Brandeis University National Women’s Committee raises funds for the libraries at Brandeis University, Waltham, Mass. Individuals need not be Brandeis graduates to join the panel.

Separated, divorced

group slates meetings

Passages, a nondenominational, self-help group for separated and divorced adults, holds meetings at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesdays at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, 505 Main St., Spotswood.

The organization, which offers small weekly discussion groups and a calendar of social outings, is designed to provide emotional support to individuals going through the pain associated with separation and divorce and help them find the answers to get on with their lives.

‘She Loves Me’ coming

to Playhouse 22 in E.B.

Playhouse 22, 210 Dunhams Corner Road, East Brunswick, will present She Loves Me at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and at 3 p.m. on Sundays, April 4-May 3. There will be no shows April 18-20. The musical tells the story of Georg and Amalia, two feuding clerks in a European perfumery during the 1930s who secretly find solace in their anonymous romantic pen pals. Unbeknownst to both characters, they are each other’s secret pen pals. The production is directed by Mary Lynn Dobson.

Tickets cost $20 for adults, $16 for students and senior citizens.
