   Dawn Stacy Ubry, 22, and Eric R. Diaz, 23, both of Hillsborough were charged with stealing $220 worth of DVDs from Wal-Mart on North Main Street at 6:04 p.m. March 31.
   They were held in the Somerset County Jail in Somerville in lieu of $1,000 bail each.

   A 14-year-old student at the Alexander Batcho Intermediate School was charged with possession of under 50 grams of marijuana at 1:24 p.m. March 31.
   Principal James Brunn turned the drugs over to police after finding them on the student, who was released from police headquarters to a parent.
   The student received a five-day suspension from school and a day in in-school counseling.

   A resident reported the theft of $500 in jewelry and electronics from a West Camplain Road home. The theft, which was reported at 2:33 p.m. March 30, is believed to have occurred on the evening of March 28.
   A gold and silver bracelet, worth $200, and an Xbox video game system and controller, worth $300, were reported stolen.
   Police are investigating the incident.

   Jose Rojas, 21, of Bound Brook was charged with shoplifting in Wal-Mart on North Main Street at 3:09 p.m. March 30. Mr. Rojas, who allegedly stole five CDs and shorts totaling $88.92, was released on $1,500 bail, pending a court appearance.

   James Black, 33, of South Bound Brook was charged with disorderly conduct at 4:17 p.m. March 30 for allegedly screaming vulgarities in the middle of South Main Street.
   Police were responding to an unrelated panic alarm at Poor Man’s Pub when they saw Mr. Black. He was processed at released to his mother at police headquarters on North Main Street.
   There is no connection between the alarm and Mr. Black’s arrest, police said.

   A 2002 Honda Accord was damaged between 6 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on March 30 on South Fifth Avenue. The mirror and front bumper were damaged while the car was parked in front of a residence.
   No estimate of the cost to repair the damage was given.

   Ivan Gertsen, 23, of Hillsborough was charged with shoplifting $211.87 in merchandise from Wal-Mart on North Main Street at 3:47 p.m. on March 29.
   He was transferred to Somerset County Jail in Somerville in default of $1,500 bail.

   A $200 Motorola Model V80 silver cell phone was lost at Adesa Auto Auction on North Main Street at 9 a.m. on March 27.
   The missing item has not been returned.

   A 2001 Hyundai was broken into on Roosevelt Avenue overnight between March 26 and March 27.
   Nothing was stolen, but the doors and glove compartment were opened.

   A silver Motorola cell phone was reported stolen while the owner was working at the Roosevelt Elementary School between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on March 26.

   A student told police a white male with ear-length hair, wearing a black sweater and jeans, stole her wallet while she was crossing North Main Street at 7:42 a.m. on March 26, after police inquired in response to a report from a school crossing guard.
   The student was uninjured, and no weapons were involved in the incident. Police are investigating the report.
