The Allentown United U12 travel soccer team played its second game of the season this past Saturday. They came away with a 7-0 victory versus the overmatched Twin County Lightning Storm, who moved up from the second division this spring. The United got off to a quick start and scored several goals quickly. Dean Search, Connor Darrell and Kevin Bux tallied early for the United off several nice crosses by Matt Frein and Chris Wittholt. The United took advantage of the situation to shuffle their line-up in an attempt to give a number of players the opportunity to play different positions. Allentown continued to control the game stressing passing and ball movement. Charlie Nicholls, Hayley Odell, Danny Bailey and Matt Frein also scored for the United. The United will face a much more difficult opponent in the Lakewood Lazers this Saturday at noon, at the Mark Harbourt complex, in their home debut of the season.
