JAMESBURG William Cottrell, 84, died on Saturday in Care One Nursing Home of East Brunswick.
Born in Hightstown, he resided in Hightstown for many years before moving to Jamesburg. Mr. Cottrell retired from Conovers Golden Guernsey Dairy after 25 years of service and also retired form Mideast Aluminum Company in Dayton after 41 years.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the United States Army Air Force with the 818th Airborne Engineer Squadron as a Parachute Rigger in the European, African, and Middle Eastern Theatre.
Husband of the late Stella Solook Cottrell, he is survived by his sister, Bartella Breslin of Florida, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. from The Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, with Rev. Neill Tolboom, Pastor of First United Methodist Church of Hightstown, officiating.
Interment followed in East Windsor Cemetery, East Windsor.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Cottrell’s memory to the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown, 187 Stockton St., Hightstown, NJ 08520.
Mirian G. Harris
EWING Miriam G. Harris, 89, died Saturday at Capital Health System at Mercer.
Born in Lakewood, Mrs. Harris was a Trenton area resident most of her life.
She was a graduate of Trenton Normal School (College of New Jersey) and was an elementary school teacher at Woodrow Wilson School in Trenton for 20 years before retiring.
Mrs. Harris was a member of Har Sinai Temple and its Sisterhood.
Daughter of the late Benjamin and Anna Ginsburg, sister of the late Fay Schragger, Aaron Gaines, Betty Lopatin and Edna Garb, grandmother of the late Jill Stacy Harris and wife of the late Herman Harris, she is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Arlene Harris of Wappinger Falls, N.Y. and Steven and Arlene Harris of East Windsor; a brother, Stanley Richmond of Lakewood; three grandchildren, Michael, Rebecca and Richard Harris; a devoted companion, Louis Kalnitsky of Ewing Township; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were Monday at Har Sinai Temple, 491 Bellevue Ave., Trenton. Burial followed at Ewing Cemetery.
The period of mourning will be observed at the Harris residence, Ewing Township.

Richard Rosetty, Sr.
CREAM RIDGE Richard Rosetty Sr., 73, died March 28 in the Kimble Medical Center, Lakewood.
Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Mr. Rosetty lived in the Cream Ridge area most of his life. He was a United States Army veteran of the Korean War, and was a self-employed contractor.
Son of the late Daniel and Rose Corvine Rosetty, husband of the late Joyce C. Rosetty, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Jr. and Debbie Rosetty of East Windsor; two daughters and a son-in-law, Sharon Black of Cream Ridge and Nancy and Joseph Seney of Dayton; a brother, Daniel Rosetty of Florida; five grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Private cremation was held under the direction of the Hartmann Funeral Home, 2830 Nottingham Way.
Private cremain interment will be in the Princeton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Muriel (nee Merrett)
Ekstron
HIGHTSTOWN Muriel (nee Merrett) Ekstrom, 74, of Hightstown died March 12, at her residence.
Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Haddonfield before moving to Hightstown in 1993.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hightstown.
She was pre-decreased by her husband J. Frederick Ekstrom. She is survived by her son, John Ekstrom of California; her daughter, Diane and husband William Heck of Rumson; and three grandchildren, Noah, Prudence and Kalling.
Funeral services were held at the Rezem Funeral Home, 45 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick and burial was in the Washington Cemetery in South River.
Catherine R. Kelty
RIVERSIDE, Calif. Catherine R. Kelty, 81, died Jan. 31.
She was the daughter of Timothy J. Kelty Sr. and Frances Kelty, and was born and raised in Hightstown. She attended St. Mary’s Cathedral High School in Trenton before transferring to Hightstown High School from which she graduated in 1939.
She enlisted in the United States Army and worked as a secretary at the Pentagon, Washington, D.C., and later in Boston. Following her discharge from the Army, she moved to California in 1957 and worked for Wylie Labs for 47 years until her retirement.
She is survived by her daughter, Eileen Locke, with whom she resided; a sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Harold Hamill of Lawrenceville; a brother and sister-in-law, Timothy J. Kelty Jr. and Karin Kelty of Rossmoor; and several nephews, nieces and cousins.
