Re/Max of New Jersey has announced that the firm has raised $293,133 for the charity Children’s Miracle Network (CMN), making the New Jersey region the second-highest grossing in North America.
In one fund-raising program, New Jersey associates pledge to donate from their personal funds a specified amount of money to CMN for each closed sales transaction. Other fund-raising events include parties, tournaments, dinner cruises and special events throughout the state.
CMN is a national charity distinguished for improving health care for children by generating funds and awareness programs for 170 hospitals. Locally, funds raised by Re/Max of New Jersey benefit the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Children’s Specialized Hospital with locations in many New Jersey towns, and Bristol-Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at Robert Wood Johnson University in New Brunswick.
Barbara Levine of Marlboro was recently appointed the new dean of students at Atlantis Preparatory School, Wall. In this newly created position, she will oversee daily operation of the two sections of the school — its elementary school, ranging from preschool through fourth grade, and the early learning center, which operates a day care and enrichment programs for children ages 6 months through 3 years.
Levine has a background as an educator and administrator, and served as principal of the elementary school in South River for the past two years. Prior to that assignment, she held the assistant principal position at Drum Point Road Elementary School in Brick for three years. She has taught preschool and elementary school in the Marlboro, Manalapan-Englishtown, and Haworth public school districts.
She received her master’s degree in educational administration, supervision, curriculum development and design with a managerial specialization from Georgian Court College, Lakewood. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Teaneck. She holds certification as an elementary school teacher, supervisor, principal, and in student personnel services. She also hold certificates of eligibility for school administrator and school business administrator.
Michael Schneider of Marlboro was named 2002 sales associate of the year at Prudential N.J. Properties’ Manalapan office. Schneider, who works as a team with his wife Sue, has been practicing real estate in New Jersey for more than 20 years. He is a gold level member of the 2002 New Jersey Association of Realtors’ Circle of Excellence, and he ranks among the top 3 percent of Prudential Realtors nationwide. The Schneiders specialize in the communities of Manalapan. Marlboro, Colts Neck, Holmdel, Freehold, Rumson and Old Bridge. They have lived in Marlboro for 22 years.
Scott Brander of Manalapan has joined Buckman Buckman & Reid Inc. as director of the wealth management group. He has more than 10 years experience in financial planning. His office is in Red Bank.
Cheryl Good, a life-long resident of Freehold Township, was promoted to assistant cashier/assistant branch manager of OceanFirst Bank’s Spring Lake Heights branch office.
