ISAAC DAWES, 93, of Freehold Township died April 1 at Applewood Health Care Center, Freehold Township. He lived in Upper Freehold Township his entire life before moving to Applewood Estates 11 years ago. He was a graduate of the Rider Business School. He worked for the I.S. Dawes and Son Vinegar Co., founded by his grandfather in Freehold Township and a family business for three generations before closing in the 1950s. He then worked for the state of New Jersey in the highway department before his retirement. He was a member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church for more than 80 years, where he served as an elder. He was a member of the Upper Freehold Township Board of Elections for many years. He was predeceased by his wife, Margaret J. Dawes, in 1998. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, John I. and Donna Dawes of Freehold Township; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Interment was in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent. LINDA G. CAPALBO, 55, of Millstone died April 4 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she lived in Staten Island before moving to Millstone 16 years ago. She worked as a real estate agent for Center State Builders, Jackson, for five years before retiring in 2002. She is predeceased by her parents, Alcede and Karen Spies Kempt, and her brother, Lucien Kempt. Surviving are her husband, Anthony Capalbo; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Todd. S. Simmonds of Millstone, and Douglas J. and Christina Simmonds of Detroit; two sisters, Juliette Stark and Donna Werthmuller, both of Dunnellon, Fla.; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Perrineville, followed by interment in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township.
