A Clay Street man who was severely burned in a fire at his residence last week died on Tuesday.
Princeton Borough Police Lt. John Reading said Michael E. Yates, 53, died at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Mr. Yates sustained burns to his head, neck and shoulders during the April 3 fire.
Police suspect the fire originated on the kitchen stove.
"He was cooking some macaroni and cheese, but all four burners were turned on," Lt. Reading said.
Firefighters found Mr. Yates unconscious on the living room floor, Lt. Reading said.
Police will request an autopsy as part of the investigation into the fire, he said.
