Effective today (April 17), Hopewell Township has a new municipal prosecutor. He is Robert H. Yostembski III, whose annual salary will be $28,000.
The full Township Committee voted unanimously April 10 to appoint Mr. Yostembski to a one-year term, beginning April 17.
Also during its April 17 meeting, the committee voted unanimously to accept township Court Administrator Susan Milewski’s letter of retirement, effective April 30. Ms. Milewski has worked for the township for 33 years, coming on board as a court clerk in 1970.
In addition to accepting Ms. Milewksi’s letter of retirement, the resolution passed unanimously by the committee commended her job performance.
The resolution said that "due to Susan’s efficient management efforts, the Hopewell Township court enjoys an excellent reputation." It added that her "considerate style of management and training has been appreciated by her past and present employees" and that she "displayed good command of the duties and responsibilities of the court during periods of transition between judges."
Said Mayor Fran Bartlett of Ms. Milewski: "She’s just been stellar in her job."
