Advisor’s theme boosts results at competition
Manville High School representatives of the Future Business Leaders of America attended the group’s state competition, bringing home lots of honors.
The students in Chapter 3985 attended the New Jersey State Leadership Conference in East Brunswick on March 25-26.
Manville High School chapter members brought home National Honors for the second year in a row, and several members placed at the state level in many categories.
Two of our members Stefanie Bocchino and Becky Borawski placed second in the Business Report Category of "American Enterprise Project."
They are planning to attend the National Conference in Dallas, and will have to raise the necessary funds to compete in this competition in June (the school board will not fund travel expenses for this project).
"This year’s theme ‘Rising to the Challenge’ proved to be one of inspiration to the Manville chapter members in their quest to continue with this chapter’s successful track to pursue academic pride in Manville High School and this community," advisor Nancy Ostraszewski said.
