HIGHTSTOWN William P. McCue, 93, of Hightstown died on Tuesday at The Medical center at Princeton.
Born in Hightstown, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. McCue was a graduate of Hightstown High School and the Rider Business School of Trenton. He worked as an engineering clerk with Jersey Central Power & Light in Hightstown, Freehold and Lakewood offices. He was an associate with Stackhouse Real Estate and Insurance for many years. He served with the U.S. Navy during WWII and was awarded the American and European Theater Ribbons and the WWII Victory Ribbon.
He was a past commander of Hightstown Post 143 American Legion and a member for more than 50 years. He was a former vice commander of the Mercer County American Legion. He was a member of 40&8, Voiture 235 American Legion. He was a member of Hightstown Post 5700 Veteran of Foreign Wars.
He was a former member of the Hightstown library board, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows and the State of New Jersey March of Dimes Committee.
Son of the late Samuel and Stella McCue, he is survived by a close friend, Harold E. Lovett of Hightstown and many friends.
Funeral services will be held today, Friday, at 10 a.m. at the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown, with the Rev. J. Neill Tolboom, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown, officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown.

Kenneth A. Duryee
HIGHTSTOWN Kenneth A. Duryee, 90, died on Tuesday at Meadow Lakes.
Born in Hightstown, Mr. Duryee was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Duryee was a graduate of Hightstown High School and attended Rider College. He was the owner and operator of A.L. Duryee & Sons Monuments in Hightstown for many years. He was the superintendent of the Cedar Hill Cemetery for many years and also was a member of the board of trustees of the cemetery. He was a 78-year member of the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown and served as a trustee and was a member of the Finance Committee. He was a member of the Hightstown-East Windsor Historical Society.
Husband of the late Isabel Perrine Duryee, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Sandra and Bob Wasilewski of Hightstown; a sister, Irene Dey of Hightstown; two brothers-in-law, Warren Perrine of Cranbury and Benjamin Perrine Ransom of Holland Patent, N.Y.; a grandson, Spencer Wasilewski; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Avenue, Hightstown. The Rev. Neil Tolboom, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Hightstown, will be officiating. Interment will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Highstown.
Relatives and friends may call today, Friday, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Flora Trostler Feron
HIGHTSTOWN Flora Trostler Feron, a resident of Meadow Lakes in Hightstown, died April 4, six months after celebrating her 100th birthday.
Born in Manhattan, she was the widow of James J. Feron with whom she worked at the Racquet Shop, Stephen J. Feron Inc., now Feron’s, for nearly 50 years. She has been commended for various volunteering jobs she undertook during her 18 years of residency at the retirement community.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, James M. and Jeanne of Meadow Lakes, and Thomas H. and Carol of Eugene, Ore.; six grandchildren, Robert (Dione) of Rockville, Md., Michael of Corum, N.Y., Andrew of New Paltz, N.Y., Margaret (Eric) Niles of Troy, N.Y. and Ethan (Judith) and Ann (Kent) of Ohlund, all of San Jose; and eleven great-grandchildren, Gabrielle and Estherm Gracem, Aiden and Serapohina Feron, Hannah and Kincade Niles, Madeline and Nolan Feron and Daniel and Linnae Ohlund.
A gathering will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Meadow Lakes.
Edna G. Willis
TRENTON Edna G. Willis, 95, died Monday in the Medical Center of Princeton.
Born in Trenton, she was an area resident all of her life.
Mrs. Willis formerly was employed as a cashier and bookkeeper with the RKO Movie Theatre in Trenton, Yards Department Store, and retired in 1993 from the Trenton Boys Club. She was a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church.
Daughter of the late Andrew and Catherine Von Friedrich Gill, wife of the late John R. Wilus II, mother of the late John R. Wilus III, and sister of the late Anna Gill, Laura Rue, Louise Deodato, Vanda Fosbrook, John Gill and Leon Gill, she is survived by her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Susan and Charles Bitner of Hamilton Township; her grandson and granddaughters-in-law, John R. IV and Pamela Wilus of East Windsor; her great-grandchildren, Susan Victoria Cuniglio, Ashley and Alexis Wilus; her great-great-grandchild, Bryce Wilus; and several nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 343 South Broad St., Trenton.
Interment followed in Fountain Lawn Memorial Park, Ewing Township.

Stachurski
HIGHTSTOWN Raymond J. Stachurski Sr., 83, died April 11 at his daughter’s home in Yardville.
Born in Little Neck, Long Island, N.Y., and formerly of Cranbury, he has lived in Hightstown for more than 50 years. Mr. Stachurski retired from Wm. C. Pullen Fuel Inc. in Hightstown, where he had worked for many years. He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society, St. Vincent DePaul Society, and Hightstown Elks Lodge 1955.
Son of the late Herman & Mary Stachurski, husband of the late Virginia H. Stachurski, predeceased by his nine brothers and sisters, he is survived by two daughters, Sharon Matson and her companion Daniel Povio and Karla Stachurski; a son and daughter-in-law, Raymond (Jack) Jr. and Karen Stachurski; a sister, Natalie Freese; three grandchildren, Alisha and Adam Stachurski and John Matson; his special friends, Greg Martinetti, Danielle Povio and the Kahler family; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday from the Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown.
A Funeral Mass was celebrated on Wednesday from St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church.
Interment followed in St. James Cemetery, Jamesburg.

Isabella Mendola
KISSIMMEE, Fla. Isabella Mendola, 67, formerly of Trenton, died April 5 at home.
Born in Villaba, Sicily, Italy, she resided in the Trenton area most of her life before moving to Kissimmee, Fla., two years ago. Mrs. Mendola retired after 25 years with Baxter Clothing Company in Trenton. She was a member of St. James Church.
Wife of the late Salvatore Mendola, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Rosetta and Salvatore Taglireno, two grandchildren, Christine and Salvatore Taglireno all of Kissimmee; two sisters, Maria Bonfanti of East Windsor and Giovanna Lumia of Bologna, Italy; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The funeral was held Saturday 7:30 a.m. from the Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 1584 Parkside Ave., Ewing, NJ 08638. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 9 a.m. at St. James Roman Catholic Church, North Trenton.
Entombment was in St. Mary’s Mausoleum.

Grover
BRICK Lucille Taylor Grover, 89, formerly of the Windsor section of Washington Township, died on Tuesday at Brandywine at Laurelton Village.
Mrs. Grover was a retired secretary for the Department of Agriculture, Trenton. She was a lifelong resident of Windsor before moving to Cream Ridge in 1982 and later on to Point Pleasant Beach. She also worked as a clerk in the Community Education Division of the East Windsor Regional School District. She was a former member of the Hightstown Order of Eastern Star. She was a lifelong member of the Windsor United Methodist Church and its Women’s Society.
She was the wife of the late Clarence S. Grover; the daughter of the late Harry B. Taylor Sr. and Mabel Tindall Taylor; sister of the late Marion Pullen, William Taylor, Gladys Bowker, Duane Taylor, Marjorie English, and Harry B. Taylor Jr.; and mother-in-law of the late Leonard G. Gilbert Jr.
She is survived by one son, Albert C. Grover II of Lawrence Harbor; two daughters, Dale G. Simmons of Cookstown and Gerri G. Gilbert of Cape Coral, Fla.; six grandchildren, Sherri Greczyn, Leonard G. Gilbert III, John Simmons Jr., R. Duane Gilbert, B. Scott Gilbert and Jarrett S. Grover; 12 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Harry B. Morris Jr. of Windsor.
Funeral services were held on Saturday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton Square, with the Rev. Dr. Thomas W. Madron of the Windsor United Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial was in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hightstown.

Flemming
HIGHTSTOWN Geraldine S. Flemming, 60, died April 10 at the Centra State Hospital in Freehold.
Born in Jacksonville, Fla., she was a longtime resident of Hightstown.
Geraldine worked as a recreational therapist for the Cranbury Center Genesis Elder care network. She was a member of the Mount Olive Baptist Church of Hightstown and her hobbies included music, reading and arts and crafts.
Daughter of the late Joseph and Florence Strain, she is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Joseph Jr. and Myrna Strain of Jacksonville, Fla.; an Uncle William Strain of Florida; two aunts, Lottie Strain of California and Retha Wiggins of Florida; four cousins, Crystal Strain of Florida, Jacquelyn, Stacey and Devon Smith of New Jersey; and many cousins and friends.
Services will be held at the Edgewood Cemetery, Jacksonville, Fla. at a later date. Arrangements are made by the Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home, 202 Stockton Street, Hightstown, NJ 08520.
