Robert G. Maltby, 76, of Monroe died Wednesday, April 9, at CentraState Medical State in Freehold.
Born in Newark, Mr. Maltby resided in Perth Amboy and had lived in Monroe since 1961. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was a charter member of Applegarth Fire Company, a member of VFW Post 5700 and a member of the Elks in Hightstown. He retired from Anheuser-Busch, Inc., after 35 years. He was an avid gardener and enjoyed fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Maltby; a daughter, June M. Zicha of Jackson; four sons, Gary R. Maltby of Virginia, Jack Alan Maltby of New Egypt, Robert James Maltby of Bunell, Fla., and Richard Dean Maltby of North Brunswick; a sister, Florence Mullen of Connecticut; three brothers, Thomas Maltby of Las Vegas, James Maltby of California, and Jack Maltby of Arizona; eight grandchildren and a great grandson.
Burial took place at William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Arnytown.
