HARRY E. BONEWALD, 77, of Spotswood died April 13 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. His first wife, Helen A., died in 1966, and his second wife, Clara, died in 2000. Surviving are a son, Robert H. of Winchester, Calif.; two daughters, Cynthia Fortmann and LuAnn A. Reinzuch of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; and seven grandchildren. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment was in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. WALTER DABKOWSKI, 83, of North Brunswick died April 19 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in South River, he was a North Brunswick resident for the past 33 years. He was employed at Rutgers University, Cook College Animal Research Department, New Brunswick, for 37 years, retiring in 1984. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in the 5th Army, 34th Iowa Division, 133rd Infantry in the North Africa and Italian campaigns. He was a communicant of St. Mary of Ostrabrama Roman Catholic Church, South River, and a member of the Holy Name Society. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lyons-Schepsco Post No. 1451, South River. He was predeceased by three sisters, Jennie Najntnick, Edna Cochran and Mary Creamer; a brother, Stanley Dabkowski; and his companion of several years, Ruth Albert. He is survived by two brothers, Benjamin Dabkowski of Lacey Township, and Edward Dabkowski of South River; one niece; and several nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Mary of Ostra­brama Roman Catholic Church. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery, East Brunswick. HELEN M. SEPPI MILANO, 83, of South River died April 16 in Franklin Care Center, Franklin Township. Her husband, Louis J. Milano, died in 1963. Surviving are two daughters, Marilou Petersen of Normandy Shores and Joy A. Skurbe of East Brunswick; a brother, George Seppi of the Parlin section of Sayreville; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Stephen’s Church, South River. VERA O. JONES JENNINGS, 78, of East Brunswick died April 16 in Care One, East Brunswick. Her husband, Daniel, died in 1993, and a grandchild, Kerri SanFilippo, died in 1997. Surviving are her significant other, John; a daughter, Karen SanFilippo of Freehold; two sisters, Elizabeth McKeon of Waterbury, Conn., and Shirley Deitzer of Jackson; a grandson; and two great-grand­children. Services were held at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. DANIEL J. TRAVINSKI, 74, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died April 7 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy di­vision. Prior to his retirement in 1993, he was employed as plant manager at Himont USA, East Brunswick, where he worked for 35 years. A son, Robert D. Travinski, died in 1989. Surviving are his wife, Betty Jane Collins Travinski; a son, Daniel of the Morgan section of Sayreville; a daughter, Colleen Luma of Sayreville; a sister, Gloria Dehnz of South Amboy; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Sacred Heart Church, South Amboy. Interment was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Parlin.

GEORGE S. VOLGYI, 78, of South River died April 7 at home. He was a member of the South River Police Reserve. Surviving are his wife, Nina Kaminsky Volgyi; two daughters, Sandra Hoff of Sayreville and Diane Horvath of South River; a sister-in-law, Elizabeth Arvoy of Milltown; and three grand­children. A service was held at Saints Peter and Paul Russian Orthodox Church, South River. Interment was in the church cemetery.

PAUL K. SKALLA, 27, of Milltown died April 20 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Perth Amboy. He was co-owner of B ’N P Land Renovations, Milltown. An artist, he also was the owner of PKSkalla.com, a company specializing in graphic arts, painting and illustration. Surviving are his parents, Kenneth and Judy Martinez Skalla of Milltown; a sister, Lisa Skalla, also of Milltown; his grandmother, Cecilia Martinez of East Brunswick; several aunts and uncles; three cousins; and his life­long best friend, Stephen Kreiger. Services are planned for 10 a.m. on April 24 at Brunswick Memorial Home, East Brunswick. Interment will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

ELIZABETH HAYDEN DeFAZIO of East Brunswick, formerly of Sayreville, died April 17 at home. Her husband, Carl DeFazio, died in 1992. Surviving are a son, Carl DeFazio of Spotswood; a daughter, Jo Anne Thomore of East Brunswick; five grandchil­dren; and seven great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Entombment was in Forest Green Park Mausoleum, Morganville section of Marlboro.

FREDERICK NORMAN FISCHER, 75, of the Parlin section of Sayreville died April 15 in Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy division. He was a former member of the Sayreville Planning Board and the Sayreville Board of Appeals. A daughter, Norma Jeanne Fischer, died in 1998. Surviving are his wife, June Belanger Fischer; a daughter, Catherine Townsend of Spotswood; a grandson; and two great-grandsons. A Mass was offered at St. Mary’s Church, South Amboy. Entombment was in the church mausoleum.

ROSE SCALORA BALDASSANO of Spotswood died April 17 in Old Bridge Manor. Her husband, Paul Baldassano Sr., died in 1991, and a son, Salvatore Baldassano, died in 1986. Surviving are two sons, Matthew Baldassano of Middletown and Paul Baldassano Jr. of Monroe; a brother, John Chellio of Georgetown, Texas; three sisters, Antoinette of Indianapolis, Ind., Mary of Bath, N.Y., and Grace of Syracuse, N.Y.; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Interment was in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, N.Y.

ANGELA ORSINI LANGE, 60, of Sayreville died April 15 at home. She was a hairdresser for 44 years and worked at Richard’s Hairstyling, Milltown. Surviving are her husband, Frederick L. Lange; two sons, Darren Lange of North Brunswick and Eric Lange of Edison; her mother, Pasqualina Orsini of Sayreville; a brother, Lou Orsini of Mahwah; and two granddaughters. A Mass was offered at Our Lady of Victories Church, Sayreville. Entombment was in Holy Cross Cemetery Mausoleum, North Arlington.

MARIE EMANUEL STEO, 82, of the Toms River section of Dover, formerly of Spotswood and Old Bridge, died April 20 in Bay Lea Village Care Center, Toms River. Her husband, John, died in 1982. Surviving are a son, Joseph Steo of Staten Island, N.Y.; a daughter, Sandra Chieffo of Toms River; four sisters, Beatrice Piccioli, Josephine LaRusso and Nancy Regan, all of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Antoinette Comparetto of the Morganville section of Marlboro; and five grandchildren. A Mass was offered at Corpus Christi Church, South River. Interment was in Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, N.Y. ALBERT YONCAK, 61, of Old Bridge, formerly of Marlboro, died April 20 in CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Surviving are his wife, Sharon Daley Yoncak; three sons, Scott of Medford, Alex of Jamesburg and Kurt of Old Bridge; a daughter, Kerry of Old Bridge; his stepmother, Virginia Yoncak; two brothers, Stanley of Marlboro and Richard of Freehold; and seven grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment was in Holy Cross Burial Park, South Brunswick. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

VERONICA T. PHILLIPS, 74, of Spotswood died April 20 at home. Her hus­band, Henry Anthony Phillips, died in 1965. Surviving are a daughter, Joan Elizabeth Phillips of Spotswood; two grandchildren, Michael Horvath of Edison and Michelle Zuber of East Brunswick; and three great-grandchil­dren. A Mass is planned for 9 a.m. on April 24 at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, Old Bridge. Interment will follow in Beverly National Cemetery, Burlington.
