WW-P school board rejects school redistricting

The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional Board of Education voted down a plan Tuesday night proposed to correct overcrowding and perceived enrollment imbalances at the district’s middle and high schools.
The plan, brought forward by district administrators in January, would have shifted the middle and high school paths of students in 10 housing developments.
But the school board, uneasy with the proposal, decided to hold off on the plan until a thorough study of school capacities is completed, as recommended by its Ad Hoc Committee on Middle and High School Enrollment.
The committee is expected to come up with a procedure for conducting such a study in the next few months.
