Clarence Graves

   HILLSBOROUGH — Clarence William Graves, 90, died April 23 at the Foothill Acres Nursing Home in Hillsborough. He was born in Neshanic and lived in the area his entire life.
   Mr. Graves was an Army veteran of World War II. He served for two years, spending 18 months as a prisoner of war. He received numerous medals, most notably his Bronze Star.
   He worked for Union Carbide in Bound Brook for 29 years retiring in 1979.
   His sister, Bertha Voorhees, died in 1992.
   Surviving is his wife, Ruth (Benfer) Graves.
   Services were held April 28 from the Hillsborough Funeral Home, Hillsborough with Pastor David Hill officiating. Burial was in Neshanic Cemetery, Hillsborough.
