Disagree with vote? Then cast your own

To the editor

The outcomes of the recent school elections were very unfair.
I do agree and support the outcome of it, but so many people don’t and it is their own fault.
It seems that every election year draws more and more opposition to its final outcome. This is because every single year, less and less of the citizens of Hillsborough vote.
If you happen to follow the numbers of voters that turn out from year to year, you will see a steady decline. Have people become so uninterested in the community that they can’t even go and vote?
They let the other members of the community decide for them.
If people have such a beef with the election results, then they have to vote in the future elections.
Yes, it must be an inconvenience to take 10 minutes out of your whole day once a year and vote, but let’s face it — the decisions of how our tax money is spent and the quality of the education that the children receive should be made and outlined by a majority of the community, not just the nine or ten percent who are opposed to anything and everything that is proposed.
