Medical Center offering free child safety fair on Sunday

In celebration of National SAFE KIDS week, The Medical Center at Princeton is providing, free to the community, a variety of indoor and outdoor events on Sunday.
Sunday’s child-centered indoor events will take place at the main hospital campus in Ground Floor A&B conference rooms and in the Lambert House classrooms 1, 2 and 3. Visitors are asked to come to the registration table in the front lobby of the hospital where they will receive raffle tickets and be directed to the various events.
Inside the Lambert House classrooms, there will be a series of lectures designed for children:
11 a.m.: Fire Safety will be discussed by Princeton Fire Department officials.
Noon: Stranger Safety will be discussed by Princeton Township Police Department officials.
1 p.m.: Car Seat Safety will be presented by certified child passenger safety technicians with the help of the crash test dummies, Vince and Larry.
2 p.m.: Child Poisons will be discussed by MCP representatives.
Between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Ground Floor rooms A&B, the Princeton Borough, Princeton Township, and West Windsor Police Department representatives will be on hand to provide child fingerprinting and photo IDs. There will be goodie bags for all, in addition to on-going raffles for bicycle helmets, gift baskets, and a bicycle at the end of the day. (The winner doesn’t need to be present at time of drawing.)
From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the outside events will take place rain or shine in the parking lot on Franklin Avenue. There will be a car seat checkpoint and bike inspections. Children can tour a fire truck and an ambulance, participate in safety games, make a craft, have their faces painted, and visit with a clown and the crash test dummies.
