Anne Shapiro
Anne N. Shapiro, 84, of Lawrenceville, died April 21 at home.
Born in Monessen, Pa., she had resided in Lawrenceville for 40 years.
Ms. Shapiro was a former secretary with Educational Testing Service in Lawrenceville.
Daughter of the late Theodore and Eva Gewera Nykula and wife of the late Samuel S. Shapiro, she is survived by a daughter, Marianne Shapiro of Lawrenceville and a son, John Sappington of Philadelphia.
A memorial gathering took place on April 26 at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the New Covenant Christian Community Church, 21 East Broad Street, Bethlehem, PA 18018.
Ann Angell
Dr. Ann Griffith Angell, 69, died April 17 in Tucson, Ariz.
Dr. Angell lived in Lawrenceville for 19 years and worked as a measurement statistician at the Educational Testing Service (ETS) on Rosedale Road. She had moved to New Jersey after spending 13 years living and working in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was sent to Brazil in 1966 to work under contract with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Dr. Angell earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut and her graduate degree from Rutgers University.
She is survived by her daughters, Caitlin Griffith of Tucson and Wynne Griffith of Takoma Park, Md.; and her granddaughter, Jennifer Ann of Takoma Park.
Helen Logue
Helen M. Logue, 75, of Mercerville, died April 26 at the Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Trenton, she was a lifelong Trenton resident. She was a graduate of Trenton High School. She was a member of Holy Cross Church, the Trenton Country Club and a volunteer at Helene Fuld Medical Center.
Ms. Logue was the daughter of the late Joseph and Hedwig Witlif Harrison.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles A. Logue of Mercerville; one daughter, Adrienne L. Stephan, of Mt. Laurel; three sons and daughters-in-law, Brian C. and Jennifer Logue of Lawrenceville, Michael J. and Mary Ruth Logue of Burlington, James H. And Beth Logue of Robbinsville; nine grandchildren, Kathryn, Kelly, Cassandra, Megan, Rachel, Samantha, Jack, Harrison and Brianna; one brother and a sister-in-law, Robert and Berte Harrison of Mt. Holly, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday at Holy Cross Church in Trenton and interment followed in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the M. Wm. Murphy Funeral Home, 935 Parkway Avenue in Ewing.
Thelma Lewis
Thelma Louise Lewis, 66, died on April 24 at Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Francis Medical Center.
She was born in Trenton and lived in Lawrenceville for over 40 years. She was a graduate of Allentown High School. She was a homemaker and a member of True Light Holiness Church of God in Christ.
Daughter of the late Tracey Hill, granddaughter of the late Elizabeth Brannon and mother of the late Barry and Richard Lewis, she is survived by her mother, Thelma Smith; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard and Gloria Garrett and Lonnie Garrett; two sisters, Ernestine Sims and Pearl Worthington; two sons, Richard and Gregory Lewis; two daughters and a son-in-law, Brenda Lewis and Darlene and Elton Thomas; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Funeral service was held on April 29 at the Union Baptist Church in Trenton. Interment was at Ewing Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Hughes Funeral Home in Trenton.

Anna Parubchenko
Anna Stankievich Parubchenko, 83, of Lawrence, died April 24 at home.
Ms. Parubchenko was born in Kiev, Ukraine. She was the daughter of the late Gregory and Pauline Stankievich.
She resided in Lawrence since 1960 and resided in Toronto, Canada, and Australia. She was a teacher, retiring after 55 years of service.
Wife of the late Wasyl Parubchenko, she is survived by one daughter, Tamara Parubchenko of Lawrence; one son, Alexander Parubchenko of Trenton; three sisters, Valentina, Maria and Tania of Kiev, Ukraine; two grandchildren, Theodora of Trenton and Valleen of Brooklyn, N.Y., and one nephew of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Panahida Service was held on April 29 at the Church. Divine Liturgy was held at St. George’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church, 839 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville, and burial was held in the St. Andrew’s Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery in South Bound Brook. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Koschek and Porter Funeral Directors, Roebling.

Thomas Greco
Thomas U. Greco, 89, died April 25 at home.
Born in Trenton, he was a lifelong area resident. He retired after 15 years from the state and was a member of the Hamilton Senior Citizen Club.
Son of the late Anna and Pasquale Greco, husband of the late Mary Busovni Greco, and brother of the late Albert Greco and Faye V. Greco.
He is survived by two sons, Pasquale P. of Crestwood, Kentucky, and Leonard D. of Lawton, Okla.; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; five sisters, Willa Rhoades of St. Petersburg, Fla., Connie Maira of Lawrenceville, Helen Meany of Bayonets Point, Fla., Virginia Zalescik of Hamilton and Dr. Dolores Kelley of Clairmont, Calif.; sister-in-law Nellie Greco of Lawrenceville and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on April 30 at the Hamilton Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, 2365 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road, Hamilton. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.
