Eugene D. Baum, 52, died Monday, April 28, at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.
Born in East Orange, he resided in Monroe for the past 23 years. He retired as an electrician. He was a member of the Free & Accepted Masons South River-Philo Lodge and past commander of American Legion Post 253 in Spotswood.
He is survived by his fiancée, Robin Van Cleaf of Monroe; stepdaughters Lee Marie Pateman, Amy Lynn Pateman and Tracy Van Cleaf, all of Monroe; a step-granddaughter, Krystal Lee of Monroe; a brother, Kenneth Baum of Texas; a sister, Loretta Culver of Jamesburg; a niece, Christine Ann Palmer; a nephew, Mark Anthony Culver; and several grandnephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 2, from Rezem Funeral Home, 457 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick. Burial will be private.
