Coldwell Banker manager strengthens office teamwork in Princeton
The Princeton Office of Coldwell Banker is number one in Princeton for listings sold for the first quarter of 2003 according to statistics compiled by TrendMLS and had sales in excess of $150,000,000 in 2002. How does an office achieve such impressive statistics?
"We have a cohesive, energetic team made up of very well-trained and experienced sales associates who are supportive of each other," said Mary Ann Schierholt, manager of the office. "New associates blend well with the existing team because our office goals include everyone’s success."
"The camaraderie that our sales associates enjoy contributes to their success and to our pleasant office environment. Also, our semi-annual parties provide a relaxed and fun atmosphere in which the associates and their spouses can enjoy getting to know one another better. And once a year, we host a client appreciation party at The Nassau Club — a very pleasant way of thanking our clients for their business," she explains.
Ms. Schierholt encourages associates to participate in social and community efforts. The office’s charitable projects on behalf of HomeFront have been extremely successful. HomeFront offers more than 28 programs and services to Mercer County’s homeless families. "The associates enthusiastically participate in these efforts and gain tremendous satisfaction from their community involvement. Our annual participation in HomeFront’s Holiday Make a Wish Come True gift drive has proven to be a resounding success," Ms. Schierholt says.
The continuing education courses available from Coldwell Banker and presented in the company’s Edison training facility, combined with speakers and presentations at the weekly office meetings help keep the associates up-to-date on the latest legal developments, office and technological improvements, and the most current market trends. Ms. Schierholt, herself, attended courses at the company’s International Business Conference in March, and recently completed a 40-hour Coldwell Banker management training course, Blueprint for Profitable Operation. "I strongly believe that continuing education sharpens an associate’s skills, and creates a network of highly accomplished professionals who provide truly remarkable service to their clients," Ms. Schierholt added.

Coldwell Banker prepares for South Brunswick Garage Sale event
It’s time to prepare once again for the annual South Brunswick Garage Sale to be held Saturday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
"Spring is the time to clean out the clutter," says Lou Redbord, manager of the Coldwell Banker South Brunswick Office. "Many of our current customers are getting ready for closings on their homes and need to organize. Others are preparing to put their homes on the market. It’s time to get rid of all that ‘stuff’ that’s been packed in the back of the garage or is attempting to take over the basement. Everyone in the community is welcome to join us in this event."
The South Brunswick Office provides signs, balloons and newspaper advertising for anyone in the community who is interested in participating. Garage sale locations and maps will also be available at the office. For additional information or to register, call Rebecca Larsen, sales associate with the South Brunswick Office and coordinator of the event, at (732) 297-7171, ext. 222.
"It’s going to be like a huge neighborhood block party," says Ms. Larsen. "It’s fun, and we at Coldwell Banker make it easy. We’re hoping for a great turnout." Mr. Redbord says that this effort is the associates’ way of providing service to their clients and contributing to the community.
