Andrew Hartwell

   MILLSTONE — Andrew "Andy" Morgan Hartwell of Millstone died Friday, April 25, at home.
   Born in Pompton Plains, N.J., he lived in Lambertville, but spent the last two years in Millstone.
   He was a graduate of South Hunterdon High School, class of 1999, and was eighth in his class. He received a presidential accommodation from President Clinton for academic achievement in high school. More recently, he was studying political science at a local college.
   Mr. Hartwell was the son of Glenna Hartwell of Stockton and Joseph Yacco of Virginia and the grandson of Priscilla M. Hartwell of Morristown. He also is survived by his uncle, Peter Hartwell of Burlington, Vt., and his sisters, Rose and Fran.
   Mr. Hartwell helped in local political campaigns. He also was interested in the environment.
   Journalism was a hobby. He also received ribbons for his dog in shows.
   Funeral services were held May 1 at Trinity Episcopal Church, Solebury.

Francis Goccia

   LAMBERTVILLE — Francis "Fritz" Goccia, 92, of Lambertville died Friday, May 2, at Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township.
   Born and raised in Lambertville, Mr. Goccia was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, the Young Men’s Athletic Club and Lambertville Elks Lodge 1070.
   He was an avid painter.
   Mr. Goccia retired as proprietor of Ledger’s Inn and Restaurant in Lambertville. After retirement, he worked for many years at the Lambertville House and Colligan’s Stockton Inn as a bartender.
   He was the son of the late Francesco and Pasqualine Salvi Goccia and brother of the late Victor Goccia, Anthony Goccia, Mary Fresco and Ann Wicks.
   Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Annette Zannetti Goccia; a daughter and son-in-law, Frances and Harry Trauger of Branchburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Francis A. Goccia and Marlene Huschke of Lawrenceville; three sisters, Marge Palmer of Stockton, Sue Whipple of Lambertville and Rose Nanni of West Amwell; one brother, Joseph Goccia of Watertown, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Jennifer Trauger Turvold and her husband, Lt. Commander Wade Turvold of Jacksonville, Fla., and Lt. Robert Trauger of Kailua Hawaii; two great-grandchildren, Tanner and Lindsay Turvold; two step-grandchildren, Kelly and Michael Huschke of Lawrenceville; and several nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday at the church. Burial followed in the parish cemetery.
   Arrangements are under the direction of the Garefino Funeral Home, Lambertville.

Joan Hillman

   YARDLEY, PA — Joan F. Hillman, 74, died Thursday, May 1, in the Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton.
   Born in Trenton, Mrs. Hillman had been a lifelong resident of the Morrisville-Yardley area.
   Mrs. Hillman and her husband, Fred, were the co-owners and operators of the Morrisville (Pa.) Drug Store in the Morrisville Shopping Center for more than 24 years. She was formerly employed at New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company in Trenton.
   She served on the board of directors of the Historic Morrisville Society and was a member of the Lower Makefield Historical Society, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Mercer Country Society of Pharmacists, was a volunteer at the Mercer Mart and volunteered for many other organizations in the area.
   Daughter of the late Matthew J. Sr. and Lou C. Ziegler Kearney and sister of the late Jared M. Kearney, she is survived by her husband, Fredrick J. Hillman; four sons and daughters-in-law, Fredrick J. IV and Sharon A. Hillman of Hamilton Square, John K. and Jocelyn A. Hillman of Blue Bell, Pa., William L. and Kristin F. Hillman of Stockton and Thomas C. and Anne M. Hillman of Philadelphia; 10 grandchildren, Kira E., Ian M., Matthew J., Carly R., Emma K., Joseph P., Grace M., Katie Z., Meg J. and Thomas C. Jr. Hillman; a sister and brother-in-law, Sally K. and James B. Leedy of York, Pa.; two brothers and three sisters-in-law, Matthew J. Jr. and Moira W. Kearney of Pennington and Jean M. Kearney and William E. and Joan M. Kearney, all of Yardley, Pa; and 22 nieces and nephews.
   A Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday in Sacred Heart Church, Trenton. Interment followed in Newtown (Pa.) Cemetery.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the J. Allen Hooper Funeral Chapel, Morrisville.

Peter Roslowski

   EWING — Peter Paul Roslowski, 84, died Saturday, May 3, at Capital Health Systems at Mercer.
   Born in Trenton, Mr. Roslowski was a lifelong area resident.
   He retired after 20 years with DeLaval in Trenton.
   Mr. Roslowski was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II. He was a member of the American Legion Post 458, T.P.A.D.S. and a past member of the Bluefish Rod and Gun Club.
   Son of the late Paul and Hedwig Citkowski Roslowski and brother of the late Stanley Roslowski and Walter Rostowski, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Anna K. Koliski Roslowski; a daughter and son-in-law, Carolyn and Frank Bozek of Trenton; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Debra Roslowski of Lambertville; three grandchildren, Anthony Bozek of New Bedford, Mass. and Julie and Katie Roslowski of Lambertville; a sister, Alice Smarsch of Trenton; and many nieces and nephews.
   The funeral was held Tuesday at Parkside Brenna-Cellini Funeral Home, Ewing. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Hedwig’s Roman Catholic Church, Trenton. Burial was in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery.
