   ALLENTOWN — Martin W. Schmidt, 89, died April 28 at Compassionate Care Hospice in St. Francis Medical Center.
   Born in Trenton, he was a resident of Allentown for more than 50 years.
   He was a member of the Upper Freehold Baptist Church, the Southbranch Hunting Club, the Long Beach Island Fishing Club and Coast Guard Floatilla 66 in Hamilton Township. He also was an active member of the Allentown Lions Club for 45 years and was a World War II Navy veteran.
   Husband of the late Mildred Schmidt, he is survived by a daughter, Suzanne V. Valpreda of Allentown; a granddaughter and her husband, Suzanne and Holger Veith of Geneva, Switzerland; two great-granddaughters, Lili and Annabelle Veith; and a special friend, Edie Sawtelle of East Windsor.
   Funeral was held at the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
   Interment was in Colonial Memorial Park, Hamilton.

William G. Stoyko Sr.
   WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — William G. Stoyko, Sr., 80, died May 2.
   Born and raised in Deptford Township, Mr. Stoyko worked his entire life in the agriculture industry.
   He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Grenloch and served on the board of trustees and session. He was a past president of the state Board of Agriculture and the Gloucester County Board of Agriculture. The state Board of Agriculture cited him for outstanding contributions to New Jersey agriculture. He also served as state director of the New Jersey Farm Bureau and member of Cook College board of managers.
   He served Washington Township as deputy mayor. He also was a director of the Gloucester County 4-H Fair Association, as well as serving as the leader of the Triangle Livestock 4-H Club.
   He is survived by his wife, Katherine (nee Glasgow); a son and daughter-in-law, W. George Jr. and Debbie Stoyko; four daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Larry Worthington, Joan and Bill Layman, Nancy and Tony Restuccia and Susan and Keith Taylor; eight grandchildren, Jonathan and Karin Stoyka, Matt Worthington, Michelle Layman, Kelly and Liz Restuccia and Lexie and Katie Taylor; a brother, George Stoyko; and two sisters, Claire Hothem and Anna Ciarlante.
   Funeral services were Wednesday at McGuinness Funeral Home, Woodbury.
   Interment was in Hillcrest Cemetery, Washington Township.

Ernest S. Leves
   WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Ernest S. Leves Jr., 34, died April 28 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   He was born in New Brunswick and lived in Middlebush before moving to Robbinsville 12 years ago.
   He was a 1987 graduate of St. Pius X. High School in Piscataway and he served as a 1st Lt. U.S. Marine Corp. ROTC and captain of the rifle team.
   He was employed by Twins Rivers Exxon of Hightstown as an auto mechanic.
   He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Byzantine Catholic Church in New Brunswick.
   He is survived by his father, Ernest Leves Sr. of Middlebush; his mother, Barbara-Primiano Howe, and his stepfather, Merrill Howe, of Robbinsville; his great-great grandmother, Dominica Primiano of Somerset; his grandmother, Elizabeth Leves of New Brunswick; two stepsisters, Kimberly Howe of Old Bridge and Alison Howe of Long Branch; and two nieces and one nephew, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.
   A blessing was offered at the Gowen Funeral home, LLC, New Brunswick.
   Burial was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Middlebush.

Kathryn Corrigan Throckmorton
   ALLENTOWN — Kathryn Corrigan Throckmorton, 89, died May 1 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Hamilton.
   Born in Jersey City, she was a resident of Allentown for 60 years. She was a former member of the Allentown Presbyterian Church.
   Wife of the late Lester L. Throckmorton, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Robert and Jacqueline Throckmorton of Skiatook, Okla., and Bruce and his special friend Darlene Zdrojewski of Allentown; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Walter Kaczor and Nancy and John Kaczor, both of Wrightstown; 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
   Funeral services were held at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. The Rev. Edward Schulte officiated. Cremation was private.

Barbara F. Conley
   WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP — Barbara F. Conley died May 3 at the Medical Center at Princeton.
   Born in New York City, she was a resident of Robbinsville for the past 13 years.
   Ms. Conley was a retired executive secretary in New York City and more recently worked with the East Windsor Regional Board of Education.
   She was a founding member of the Brooktree Swim Club Mermaids. She was an avid reader and a master of crossword puzzles.
   She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law, Kim Conley of Lenox, Mass., Kelley and Gerald Suto of Mercerville, and Tracy and Robert McWhorter of Forth Worth, Texas; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Susan F. Kernan of El Paso, Texas, and Patricia Fleming and Roy Ballard of Corrales, N.M.; three grandchildren, Emily Amelia and Valerie Ann Suto and Connor John D. McWhorter; and three nephews, James, Andy and Michael Kernan.
   A memorial service was held Tuesday at the Saul Colonial Home, Hamilton Square.
   Interment will be private.
   Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
Priscilla G. Wilson
   CHESTERFIELD — Priscilla G. Wilson, 86, died April 24 at Care One in Hamilton.
   Born in Trenton, she had lived in Chesterfield Township for 60 years.
   She and her husband were lifetime poultry farmers.
   She was a member of the Sykesville Presbyterian Church, enjoyed gardening and was an avid bird watcher.
   She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Robert O. Wilson; a son, John R. Wilson of DeSmet, S.D.; a daughter, Jill E. Wilson of Rochester, N.Y.; a sister, Phebe Black of Jackson; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
   Cremation will be private under the direction of the Peppler Funeral Home, Allentown.
   A memorial service will be announced at a later date.

Helen C. Poris Podlesny
   TRENTON — Helen C. Poris Podlesny, 90, of Trenton died May 1 at the Compassionate Care Hospice.
   Born in Wilkes Barre, Pa., Mrs. Podlesny had lived in Trenton since 1955.
   She retired in 1978 after 16 years employed with the State of New Jersey, Department of the Treasury in the Trenton offices.
   She was very active in many of the St. Michael’s Church events, activities and fund-raisers. She was a life member and past president of the St. Michael’s Altar-Rosary Society and member of the Trenton Polish-American Democratic Club and the American Legion, North Trenton Post #458, Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed growing roses and home gardening.
   Daughter of the late Stephen and Karolina Poris, and wife of the late Walter S. Podlesny, she is survived by her daughter, Bernadine Baron of Robbinsville; two sons and two daughters-in-law, Walter J. and Ginny Podlesny of Florence and Raymond Sr. and Holly Podlesny of Trenton; five grandchildren, Christopher and Matthew Maciolek, Raymond Jr., and Michael and Ryan Podlesny; four great-grandchildren, Allison, Stephan and Michael Maciolek, and Dillon D. Podlesny; and several nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held Tuesday at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel. Funeral Liturgy was celebrated in St. Michael’s Church with Msgr. James Innocenzi officiating.
   Entombment was in the Chapel of the Crucifixion, St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Hamilton.

William E. Tunnicliffe
   EWING — William E. Tunnicliffe, 76, died May 2 at home.
   Born and raised in Trenton, he was a resident of Ewing Township for the past 50 years.
   He retired in 1988 after 40 years of service with Taylor Provisions in Trenton.
   He attended Trenton High School where he was a swim team diving champion.
   He was a Navy veteran of World War II and served as an instructor for Frogmen.
   An avid musician, he played the drums and was a vocalist and was the leader of his own band, The Bill Tunney Four. He also performed and was master of ceremonies for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Telethons for many years.
   He was a staff writer for the Mercer Messenger, having his own column, "Tunney’s Friends." He was captain with the Ewing Township Police Reserves and was a member of the Ewing Township PBA. He also was instrumental in founding the Ewing Teen Club.
   He was a past-exalted ruler, having served twice, of Lawrence Elks Lodge 2412 B.P.O.E. and was a member of Trenton Elks Lodge 105. He also was a member of the Golden Antlers. He was a member of the North Trenton American Legion Post 458 and was also a member of Ewing Township Livewires.
   Son of the late William and Clara Tunnicliffe, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jean Mattaliano Tunnicliffe; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bill and Janet Tunnicliffe of Titusville and Barry and Debbie Tunnicliffe of Levittown; three grandchildren, Heather and Buddy Tunnicliffe of Titusville and Jenny Rose Tunnicliffe of Levittown; a sister, Emma Heaton of Hamilton; two nieces, Marge Tyrell and her husband, Tom, of Hamilton and Jean Corso of Robbinsville; a sister-in-law, Midge Mattaliano of West Windsor; and several great-nieces and nephews.
   Funeral was held Tuesday at Poulson & Van Hise Funeral Directors, Lawrence. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at the Incarnation Roman Catholic Church, Ewing.
   Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton.
