Team scores win over Maple Shade

The Northern Burlington lacrosse team moved to the .500 mark (7-7) with a 19-2 win over Maple Shade this past Monday. Val Bud and Kristina Patsey scored five goals each, Erika Sensbach four, Nicole Seick two and Meredith Ehrick one.
Patsey scored four goals and Pigott and Sensbach one each in a 6-2 win over New Egypt on Saturday.
Patsey, Pigott and Seick scored two goals each, but Northern Burlington was defeated by Cinnaminson, 15-8, back on April 30.
Northern Burlington held off a late rally to defeat Delran, 11-10, back on April 27.
"We were dominating for the majority of the game until eight minutes were left in the second half," said NBC Coach Dave Adam, whose team had a comfortable 9-5 lead when Delran suddenly went on an offensive tear.
Eventually, NBC took a 11-8 lead, nonetheless NBC goalie Berlyse Deardorff (12 saves) needed to make a big save on a penalty shot with two minutes remaining to keep the charging Bears from tying the score.
"I’m proud of our girls because we’re starting to do the little things winning lacrosse teams need to do (passing with either hand, good "D", among other things)," said Coach Adam.Sensbach and Patsey each had a hat trick and an assist for NBC while Devi Hensch (two goals, two assists), Pigott (a goal), Budd (a goal), Seick (a goal) and Keri Neidt (an assist) had strong games too.
NBC demolished Maple Shade, 19-0, as Sensbach (four goals), Patsey (four goals), Budd (two goals), Seick (two goals) Alex Vrettos (two goals), Rebekah Chang (a goal), Kim Chuba (a goal), Hensch (a goal), Neidt (a goal) and Pigott (a goal) all tallied for the Greyhounds.
Deardorff needed to make only two saves to preserve the shut out. "Our offense controlled the ball the majority of the game," said Coach Adam.
