Luis A. Rodriguez, 27, of Trenton was charged with driving while intoxicated at 2:31 p.m. on April 29.
Officers were traveling south on Route 206 and saw Mr. Rodriguez’s 1998 Hyundai swerving in the left lane while doing 38 mph, police said.
The officers performed a motor vehicle stop and field sobriety test, which Mr. Rodriguez failed. He had a blood alcohol content of .24 percent, police said.
Mr. Rodriguez was also issued summonses for obstructing traffic, failure to maintain lane, having an open alcohol container in a motor vehicle, driving an uninsured car, not having a driver’s license, not wearing a seatbelt and reckless driving, police said.
Mr. Rodriguez was released to a friend pending a court date on April 30.
Stephen Diehl, 19, of Bordentown Township, was charged with theft at 9:50 a.m. on April 27.
Officers were called to the Mobil gas station on Route 130 at 7:51 p.m. on April 24 after receiving a report of a man who had pumped $10 of gas into a Ford Taurus and attempted to pay with a counterfeit $10 bill, police said.
When the gas station employee told the driver it was counterfeit, he took the money and sped away, police said. A witness at the station confirmed the report, police said.
When officers contacted the registered owner of the car, he said his son, Stephen, was driving it and that he would attempt to contact him to have him contact police.
On April 27, Mr. Diehl arrived at the Bordentown Township Police Station and gave a written statement, saying that he pumped gas from the Mobil station at that date and time, but that he paid with a $10 bill without incident or complaint from the attendant.
Mr. Diehl was charged and turned over to police in Mt. Laurel for an active warrant there.
This case is still active pending court action.
Police are seeking information on a 1989 green Honda Accord that was stolen from the Bradford Point Apartment complex sometime during the weekend of April 18.
The owner of the car went to the Bordentown Township Police Department to report it missing on April 23. She told police she parked the car in the middle of the parking lot at the complex near the dumpsters on April 18.
She then left for the weekend and returned on April 21 to find the car missing, police said. She told police she did not report it stolen right away because she had another car she could use and that she had to go to work.
The owner said she bought the car for $1,500 and used it for work. She said all the doors were locked and that she had the keys, police said.
Police entered the car into the National Crime Information Center database on April 23. Very soon after, police received notice that the car had been checked by Trenton Police, but when contacted, officers there were unable to provide any information.
FLORENCE
Police were called to the Town Liquor Store on Route 130 on a report of a robbery and assault at 9:35 p.m. on May 5.
The store owner told police that he was assaulted by two men who were trying to rob the store. He fought with the men as they were attempting to leave the store, and was hit on the left side of his head, police said. The men used their fists, police said; the were not in possession of weapons.
The owner was taken to Lourdes Medical Center in Willingboro, but his injuries were not severe, police said.
The two men were described as African Americans, both between 18 and 25 years old, and both wearing blue hooded sweatshirts. One is approximately 6 feet tall; the other is approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, police said.
Nothing was taken from the store.
Police are seeking information on the theft of a motorcycle taken from Manzi Heavy Equipment on Harkins Lane. The theft of the red and white CR-250 Honda motorcycle took place some time during the weekend of May 3.
The vehicle was locked in the garage on the Manzi property. Police said the robbers entered the property by breaking the window of the front door and climbing through that window.
The total estimated value of the vehicle is $500.
Paul A. Ramos, 20 and Andrew K. Davis, 19, both of Roebling were charged with possession of alcoholic beverages by a minor and open alcohol containers in a motor vehicle at 10:52 p.m. on May 4.
Officers went to Alden Avenue near Cherry Street in response to a report of a suspicious vehicle. While checking all vehicles in the area, officers found both men in possession of the alcohol, and that both were minors, police said.
Both were taken to police headquarters, but were released on their own recognizance after receiving their summonses.
John Taylor, 23, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance under 50 grams, and Nicholas Ebirhim, 18, was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance under 50 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia at 6:10 p.m. on May 4. Both men are from Roebling.
Officers responded to the Roebling Park to investigate a report of individuals consuming alcohol. The officers smelled marijuana and eventually found both men, who were in possession of several bags of "greenish brown vegetation." Mr. Ebirhim also had a chrome pipe, police said.
Both were released pending court action.
Robert Gremmels Jr., 18, of Roebling, was charged with disorderly conduct at 10:26 p.m. on May 3.
Officers were called to the 600 block of West Front Street to investigate a report of Mr. Gremmels being verbally abusive to one of the residents there, police said. Mr. Gremmels threatened to use physical force toward the resident, police said.
Mr. Gremmels was charged when he refused to cooperate with police and disperse, police said. He was taken to Burlington County Jail after failing to post $500 bail.
Police responded to the Liquor Mart on Route 130 at 6:37 a.m. on May 4, when the alarm sounded.
Upon investigation, officers determined that unknown persons had used a tool to pry off the cylinder of the lock on the front door, police said. They then took several packs of cigarettes, a few bottles of perfume and some cash.
Approximate value of the items is $3,000.
