Florence Lalley Moutenot, 94, of Red Bank, died Thursday, May 1, at St. Barnabas Hospice and Palliative Care Center at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Toms River and Long Branch before moving to Red Bank two years ago. She was a legal secretary for Joseph Citta in Toms River and was a secretary to Hubert Humphy during his campaign for president when he was in New Jersey. She is a member of St. Michael R.C. Church in West End Long Branch.
Her husband, Andre Moutenot, died in 1972. She is survived by a son, Andre and his wife, Karen, of Cranbury; a daughter, Irene and her husband, Jack Brignola, of Oceanport; a brother, Edward Lalley; a sister, Margaret Bottorff; five grandchildren, Christopher and Geoffrey Brignola, Renee Hansen, Nicole Girardet and Amy Moutenot; and 3 great grandchildren.
Services were held Saturday, May 3, from St. Michael RC Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Barnabas Hospice at Monmouth Medical Center, 300 2nd Ave. CW6, Long Branch, N.J. 07740 or Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 216 Hadden Ave., Westmont, N.J. 08018.
