   HIGHTSTOWN — Saul Edelman, 95, died on May 4.
   He had resided in Meadow Lakes for 3 years, before that he was a longtime resident of New York City and lived in Katonah for 35 years.
   In addition to his architectural practice with Weiss, Whalen, Edelbaum and Webster, he was a watercolorist and sculptor with exhibits throughout his career.
   A graduate of the Yale University School of Architecture (graduated 1933), he designed the Institute of Advanced Studies in Princeton in the 1930s and won a New York State award for middle income housing on 96th Street between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, sponsored by Riverside Neighborhood Assembly. He was active in the American Institute of Architects and was secretary between 1985 and 1988.
   He is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Hedda Hendrix; Jon and George of East Hampton, Long Island, sons of his first marriage to the late Augusta Ross; five grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
   Interment will be private.
   A memorial service will be held at a later date.

   LEVITTOWN, Pa. — William L. Golden, Jr., a resident of Levittown for 45 years, died Sunday at his home, at the age of 76.
   Born in Cranbury, a son of the late William L. Sr. and Marion (Bennett) Golden, Mr. Golden was raised on the family farm and graduated from Allentown High School, Allentown. He was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving during the Korean War and retiring in 1987 after working 40 years in the dairy industry. Bill enjoyed gardening and baseball, and he and his wife enjoyed spending the winter months in Bartow, Fla., for the last 10 years.
   He was the husband of Margaret T. (Robbins) Golden, to whom he was married for 50 years.
   In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Nancy A. Rager and her husband Jeff of Levittown, Pa., and Debora L. Verbich and her husband John of West Windsor; three sons, William L. III and his wife Suzanne of Yardley, Pa., Thomas and his wife Sherry also of Yardley, Pa., and Brian E. and his wife Cindy of Levittown, Pa.; sixteen grandchildren; three great grandchildren; a sister, Elizabeth Riefenstahl of Whiting; and two brothers, Robert of Whiting and Donald of Hightstown.
   He was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Atkinson and a brother, Howard.
   A Life Celebration was held on Wednesday and Thursday at Beck-Givnish Funeral Home, 7400 New Falls Rd., Levittown, Pa. The funeral mass was held on Thursday at St. Joseph the Worker Church, 9172 New Falls Rd., Levittown, Pa.
   Interment followed in Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.

Michael Politka



   EAST WINDSOR — Michael Politika, 90, died on Saturday at the Elms of Cranbury.
   Born in Great Barrington, Mass., he was raised in South River and lived in Rutherford for almost 40 years before moving to East Windsor in 1990. Mr. Politika was in the vending business for many years.
   He was an Army veteran of WWII.
   He also enjoyed baseball, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
   Brother of the late John, Helen, and Mary, father of the late Michael E. Politika, father-in-law of the late Timothy Sherlock, and husband of the late Marie Politika, he is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Diana Politika of Port Angelas, Wash.; two daughters and a son-in-law, Judith Sherlock of Bolingbrook, Ill., and Lloyd and Amy Kramer of East Windsor; a sister, Anne Openshaw of West Chester, Pa.; ten grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held on Tuesday at Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Highstown. A funeral mass was celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown.
   Interment followed at Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst.
George R. Stoney



   DEER PARK, Texas —– George R. Stoney of Deer Park, Texas, died April 30.
   He was born in Trenton and was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and a lifetime member of the Hightstown Fire Department. George also served in the U.S. Navy during the Cuban Blockade.
   He is survived by his wife, Susan Stoney; sons, George M. Stoney and wife Tonya, Brian D. Stoney and wife Janet; brother, Bruce E. Stoney; and grandchildren, Taylor S. Stoney, Seth R. Stoney and Joshua D. Stoney.
   Funeral services were held from the Grand View Funeral Home, 8501 Spencer Highway, Pasadena, TX 77505, on Saturday, with interment following in the Grand View Memorial Park.
