The Community YMCA, Red Bank, recently ended its six-week "Reach Out to Youth" campaign, during which more than 300 volunteers helped raise more than $450,000. Proceeds will benefit the Y’s YCares financial assistance program to ensure no individual is denied access to Y programs due to an inability to pay.
Key individuals in the campaign are Gus Fingado, Shrewsbury, campaign chairman; Bonnie Featherstone Johnson, Red Bank, vice chair; Joanne Finegan, Aberdeen, YMCA Arrowhead branch (Marlboro) division leader; Steve Bidgood, Eatontown, Red Bank Branch division leader; and Remsen Straub, Middletown, Family Services (Matawan) Branch division leader.
Also, Bob DeSantis, Middletown, Camp Zehnder division leader; Susan Portera, Fair Haven, Count Basie Achievement Branch division leader; W. David Tarver, Red Bank, corporate board division leader and chief and volunteer officer of The Community YMCA; and Richard W. Pollock, president and CEO of The Community YMCA.
