DeBusschere did the dirty work that helped the Knicks win two titles.

What can I tell you about Dave DeBusschere, who died today of a massive heart attack? (See Obit.)
I can tell you he was the kind of player who could dominate a game, but would sublimate his talents, mold them to fit the needs of his team.
I can tell you he was incredibly strong, that despite being relatively small for a power forward no one could move him off the blocks.
I can tell you he was Charles Oakley before anyone ever knew of Charles Oakley.
I can tell you the Knicks would never have won the only two titles in franchise history without him.
Rest in peace Big D.
