Letter: Save the trees in Kendall Park

To the editor:

One of the many reasons we purchased a home in the Kendall Park section of South Brunswick was for the properties that contain mature trees, lush vegetation and various wildlife that make up this quaint community.
It would be a great loss if the township is unable to purchase the very desirable 102 acres on the east side of Wheeler Road. We, the residents of Kendall Park, are pleading to the Middlesex County Freeholders and the Township Council to "Save the Trees."
Apart from the beauty of this parcel of land, we hope that the parties involved in this decision will consider the many different animals that inhabit this area, as our township allows more and more land to be developed at an alarming rate. We have been very fortunate to see many species of birds, an eagle or two, not to mention the deer that call this their home.
This lot is the last undeveloped piece of land in Kendall Park with tremendous natural resources, and it should be allowed to remain that way, if not only for the residents to enjoy presently, but for all future residents as well.
