   MONROE TOWNSHIP — Sidney Schneider, 93, died Tuesday at home.
   Born in Brooklyn, he lived in The Bronx and Florida until moving to New Jersey in September 2001.
   Mr. Schneider worked for The New York Times and was a concert violinist.
   Son of the late David and Rachel, and husband of the late Anna Delores, he is survived by a brother, Irving, of Florida; two sisters, Ida and Edith of Florida; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Sarah of Hightstown; a daughter, Carol, of Florida; a grandson, David, of Hightstown; a granddaughter, Nicole, and her husband, Rick Ackley of Jackson; a grandson, Jeffrey of Tampa, Fla.; and a grandson, Larry and his wife, Josette of Long Island, N.Y.; and a great-grandson, Luke Christopher.
   A private service is scheduled today at the Crabiel Memorial Funeral Home, 202 Stock St. Hightstown at 4 p.m.

   HIGHTSTOWN — Caroline Shirk Johnson, 88, died at Meadow Lakes in Hightstown, on April 13.
   Mrs. Johnson received her college education at Bucknell and Rutgers (graduating in 1957). She was a resident of Princeton for 62 years where she was a member of the Nassau Club and of the Present Day Club. For 22 years Mrs. Johnson taught first in the West Windsor public school system and later at Ewing High School.
   She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Professor Walter C. Johnson; three sons, W. Curtis Jr., of Corvallis, Ore., William S. of Collegedale, Tenn., and David E. of Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. She also is survived by two sisters, Hazel Coup and Mary Doebler, both of Mifflinburg, Pa.
   The funeral was private.
   In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Meadow Lakes Forum Scholarship Fund, 300 Etra Rd., Meadow Lakes, Hightstown, NJ 08520.
   Arrangements were under the direction of Kimble Funeral Home, Princeton.
Lorraine C. Bronish



   NORTH CAROLINA — Lorraine C. Bronish, 79, died on May 8 at Transylvania Community Hospital in North Carolina.
   Mrs. Bronish was born in Brooklyn and was a resident of Hightstown for many years.
   Mrs. Bronish was a secretary and formerly worked for McGraw Hill, East Windsor and Grolier Inc., Princeton. Later in life, she taught English as a Second Language at Hightstown High.
   Wife of the late Joseph J. Bronish, and sister of the late William Craig and Audrey Borsuk, she is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Phyllis Bronish of Hightstown; her daughter, Cristel Bronish; her two grandsons, Russell Jordan and Lee Joseph Faison, with whom she lived with for the past three years in Pisgah Forest, N.C.; her sister, Beverly Collis of McIntosh, Fla., and her brother, Richard Craig of Hamilton.
   Funeral service was held on Tuesday at Glackin/Saul Funeral Home, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown with Funeral Mass at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 251 Franklin St., Hightstown. Burial followed in Princeton Memorial Park, Robbinsville.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Pardee Pavilion (the Adult Day Care Center which Mrs. Bronish attended), College Rd., Hendersonville, NC 28803.
