GOOD DEEDS
   Fleet demonstrated its commitment to funding programs that strengthen communities and provide opportunities by becoming a year-round platinum sponsor of Special Olympics New Jersey. A $25,000 check was presented to SONJ recently as athletes train for the Special Olympics New Jersey Summer Games, which will take place May 30-June 1 at The College of New Jersey in Ewing.
   Special Olympics New Jersey provides year-round sports training and athletic competition in 23 Olympic-type sports for children and adults with developmental disabilities completely free of charge. Currently, more than 13,500 athletes from over 400 communities participate in 140 events throughout the state. The Special Olympics New Jersey Sports Complex recently opened in Lawrenceville and offers education and training for athletes, their families, volunteers and the community.    ExxonMobil has donated more than $919,000 to 32 colleges and universities in New Jersey through the ExxonMobil Foundation’s 2002 Educational Matching Gifts Program. ExxonMobil employees, retirees, surviving spouses and directors contributed more than $231,000 to New Jersey institutions of higher education in 2002, which was matched by the ExxonMobil Foundation with more than $687,000 in unrestricted educational grants to those institutions.
   Among the 32 New Jersey colleges and universities receiving grants are: The College of New Jersey, Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton University, Rider University, Rutgers University, Thomas Edison State College, University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and Westminster Choir College.
   ExxonMobil Foundation is the primary philanthropic arm of Exxon Mobil Corp.
ANNIVERSARIES
   Doerler Landscapes Inc. celebrates its 40th year as a Mercer County business. William K. Doerler founded the company in 1962 on a one-half acre site in Hamilton Township. His youngest son Steven is the current owner. Recent efforts in community philanthropy include services donated to Megans Place, Friends of Washington Township and the Lawrence Township Historical Soceity.
COMMUNICATIONS
   Riegel Printing Company, located in Ewing, recently received five awards in the Neographics, a graphic communications competition dedicated to recognizing quality and service in the graphic arts and communications industry. Four of the awards were the prestigious Franklin Award for Excellence. Founded over 65-years ago, the business was acquired in 2001 by Susan Atkins, Kevan Brown, Bob Stevens and Susan Heath who have been expanding on its service with state-of-the-art equipment.

   Larry Koslow has been named president of QLM Marketing, a promotional agency based in Princeton. Mr. Koslow brings to the firm over 25 years of senior marketing experience. He was most recently vice president of marketing for Church & Dwight. Former president and founder of QLM, Bob Lipsky, will remain on board as chairman.
CONSTRUCTION
   Nicholas Scozzari, vice president of Scozzari Builders Inc., member of The Hun School Class of 1977 and a current parent, was among this year’s recipients of the school’s 13th annual Meritorious Service Awards. Mr. Scozzari was honored for his work on the executive board of the Hun Fund and the school’s Executive Alumni Board. The awards were presented at a reception at The Hun School by Headmaster Dr. James M. Byer.

   VJ Scozzari & Sons Inc. (no affiliation with Scozzari Builders) have announced that they will be moving to a new office effective June 1. The new address will be 134 Franklin Corner Road, Suite 200, Lawrenceville, NJ 08648.
ARCHITECTURE
   Princeton resident Julie Capozzoli recently joined the firm of Ford Farewell Mills and Gatsch, Architects, located in West Windsor. A registered architect, she is principally involved with the firm’s preservation design studio and is currently engaged in a project at Historic Morven.
   Gregory Blasi and Naama Faucett were also added to the firm’s professional staff recently.
EXECUTIVE SEARCH
   Erin Hamrick has joined Korn/Ferry International, a provider of recruitment solutions located in West Windsor, as a senior client partner in the West Windsor office. Ms. Hamrick will focus on senior-level technology and operations assignments across industries. She will be a member of the firm’s financial services practice.
TECHNOLOGY
   Princeton Softech, provider of software and archiving technology, announced the appointment of Ian Henderson to the position of vice president, international sales. Mr. Henderson, based in London, has 20 years of sales and general management experience in enterprise software and will be responsible for the company’s international development and revenue growth.
INSURANCE
   Raymond H. Bateman, president of Public Affairs Consultants Inc. and Gary S. Carter, president of the New Jersey Hospital Association, have been appointed to the Board of Directors of MLMIC Holding Company Inc. The board governs the operations of its subsidiary, Princeton Insurance Company, New Jersey’s largest malpractice insurer.
   Mr. Bateman’s career includes an outstanding record of service to both public and private organizations in New Jersey. He served in the New Jersey Legislature for 19 years and, over the course of three terms as president of the Senate (1971-1973), was acting governor of New Jersey for more than 100 days. He was also a candidate for governor in 1977.
   Mr. Bateman has served on the MLMIC Holding Company Advisory Board since 1998.
   Mr. Carter, who joins the MLMIC board, has been a member of the Princeton Insurance Company Advisory Board since his appointment as president of the 105-member NJHA in 1995. He sits on various committees of the American Hospital Association and provides consulting support to the Joint Commission on the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as it attempts to standardize clinical outcomes measurement.
   As NJHA president he has concentrated on improving hospital-physician relations and fostering member advocacy on a number of issues.
