WW-P schools want planning input

The West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District wants you — to participate in strategic planning.
Strategic planning is a long-term planning process that reviews all operations and functions of the school system. The process leads to the development of action plans for the district to implement from year to year to accomplish its long-range goals and objectives.
"It is an opportunity for all stakeholders in the district to share ideas on the future direction of the school system," said Gerri Hutner, district spokeswoman.
To begin, Dr. Steve Barone from Transformation Systems, the district’s strategic planning consultant, will host a meeting June 8 with community members to discuss the strategic planning process and answer questions. The meeting will start at 7:30 p.m. at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School North in Plainsboro.
The district is also seeking volunteers to serve on three advisory groups, known as the Core Planning Team, Measurement Team and Action Team.
The Core Planning Team is responsible for drafting the strategic plan. The Measurement Team will develop performance assessment tools and the Action Team will create a written plan of action consistent with the strategic plan.
For more information on strategic planning or to participate on a team, contact Jon Cosse, assistant superintendent of pupil personnel services, at (609) 716-5027 or by e-mail at [email protected].
