Hopewell Library slates June 1 benefit

Authors of "Live From New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live" will look at the 27-year history of the television show.

The Hopewell Public Library is hosting its biennial literary fund-raising event on June 1, 2003 at the Off-Broad Street Theatre in Hopewell from 7-9 p.m.
The authors of "Live From New York: An Uncensored History of Saturday Night Live" will look at the 27-year history of the television show. Authors Jim Miller and Tom Shales will discuss their book and present video clips of classic SNL sketches.
Music will be supplied by local pianist Phillip Orr. Desserts and hors d’oeurves from eateries (The Brothers Moon, Chambers Walk, Chez Alice, Hopewell Bistro, Janns’ Sweet Shoppe, Soupe du jour, That’s Italian, and Main Street restaurants) will be served along with wine, coffee and soft drinks. The presentation will be followed by a book-signing.
This cocktail reception and author presentation is sponsored by the Friends of the Hopewell Public Library. Because numerous local businesses have underwritten the event, all proceeds from ticket sales will directly benefit the library. Tickets are $30 and may be purchased in Hopewell on Broad Street at The Hopewell Public Library, Failte Coffeehouse, and Historic Hopewell House. Tickets may also be purchased by calling the library at 466-1625. Seating is limited.
