Michael Strenko

   MANVILLE — Michael Thomas Strenko died Thursday, May 15, at Somerset Medical Center in Somerville. He was 21.
   Born in Somerville he had been a lifelong resident of Manville.
   Mr. Stenko graduated from Manville High School in 1999, where he was a dedicated athlete earning letters in varsity track and field, and varsity soccer, he was also involved in football and basketball.
   He also participated in extracurricular activities that included FBLA, Student Council and Key Club. He attended Seton Hall University (where he was a fraternity brother of the Sigma Phi Epsilon chapter) and Raritan Valley Community College.
   He was employed at Fisher Scientific for the last year.
   His maternal grandfather, John Drost; and his paternal grandfather, Delmer Strenko are deceased.
   Survivors include his parents, Mary and Thomas Strenko; a sister, Melissa Strenko of Danvers, Mass.; his maternal grandmother, Martha Drost of Manville; his paternal grandmother, Gaye Strenko of Colver, Pa.; his great-grandmother, Blance Strenko of Ebensburg, Pa.; and companion, Danielle Delesky.
   Funeral services were conducted May 19 from Bongiovi Funeral Home, Raritan followed by a religious service at St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Hillsborough. Burial was in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Hillsborough.
