Antoinette M. Sabatino, 91, of Monroe, died Tuesday, May 20, at Care One Nursing Center in East Brunswick.
She was born in New York City and lived most of her life in the Monroe-Jamesburg area. She retired in 1975 after 38 years as a member of International Ladies Garment Workers Local Union 150 in New York City. She worked for a number of clothes manufacturing companies including Ideal Frocks in Jamesburg. She was a longtime member of St. James R.C. Church and the St. James Columbiettes. She also was a member of the American Legion Star Post Ladies Auxiliary 127 and the Jamesburg and Monroe Busy Bees Ladies Group.
Her brother, Fideli, died in 1975. Her brother, Russell, died in 1995. She is survived by her sister, Rose of Monroe; two nephews; and a niece.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, at 9:30 a.m. from M. David DeMarco Funeral Home, 205 Rhode Hall Road, Jamesburg. A funeral liturgy will follow at 10 a.m. from St. James R.C. Church in Jamesburg. Burial will take place at the parish cemetery.
