Monroe Musical: The Footlights Club of Monroe Township High School will present the musical, "A Grand Night for Singing," on June 6 and 7 at 7:30 p.m. and on June 8 at 4 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center at MTHS.
The show is a loosely-structured musical using songs from 11 of the shows of Rodgers and Hammerstein. The cast consists of 27 students, ranging from freshmen to seniors.

Strawberry Festival: The annual Strawberry Festival is scheduled from 4 to 8 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Cranbury.
A fun-filled, family event sponsored by the Board of Deacons of the church, it will benefit the Deacon’s Benevolence Fund. There will be strawberries, cake and ice cream, games, entertainment and a barbecue.
Individual tickets will be sold at the door or during church coffee hour.
Art in the Park: The next installment of the annual series will feature artist Lisa Walsh. All artists working in all mediums are welcome and can meet at Village Park in Cranbury at noon.

Lecture Series: The sixth annual lecture series of the Jewish Historical Society of Central New Jersey on the American Jewish experience theme will continue with Adelaide MarcusZagoren speaking on "Jewish Women Writers."
This lecture is free and open tothe public and takes place at 10 a.m. at the Monroe Township Jewish Center, 11 Cornell Avenue.
Ms. Zagoren, a Monroe Township resident, is a prominent and active member of many organizations within the Middlesex County area. She is retired from more than 25 years as executive director of the Associate Alumnae of Douglass College, and is active at Anshe Emeth Memorial Temple in New Brunswick, a member of the Foundation Board of Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, a member of the George Street Playhouse Board and president of the Blanche and Irving Laurie Foundation.

Harmony Concert: The Men of Harmony will be performing at the Cranbury Methodist Church on Main Street in Cranbury as a fund-raiser for the Cranbury Lioness Club.
The concert is sponsored by the Cranbury Lioness Club and will begin at 7:30 p.m. The ticket price of $7 includes the show and intermission desert. The group, an eight-part harmony, will sing patriotic songs in honor of Flag Day, show tunes and a few religious songs. Tickets can be purchased from any Lioness member and at the door.
Art Festival: An art festival and sale will be held in the parking lot of Family Framers of Jamesburg, 15 East Railroad Ave. (next to the post office), from noon to 5 p.m.
All art on display will be for sale, and the event features a chance to view the art and meet the artists. Food and beverages will be available on site from Lisco’s Country Café. Family Framers and the music and art studio will also be open.
All interested artists may participate. Rental space is limited but still available. Cost is $25 per space. Artists must provide a table, tent or other type of display.

Family Circus: The Alain Zerbini Circus, a family-owned Old Tyme Circus, is coming to Jamesburg on the grounds of JFK School, Davidson Avenue, at 5:15 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
The circus is sponsored by the Jamesburg Civic Association, and proceeds will cover July 4 fireworks expenses as well as scholarships at the Grace M. Breckewel School and Monroe Township High School.
Purchase tickets before the show and save $2. Reduced price advance sale tickets are now on sale at Auto King Parts, Barbara’s Antiques, Gray Rock Supply, Little Shop of Treasures and Sweet William and Thyme, all located in downtown Jamesburg’s business district.
