CRANBURY Stanley L. Moody, 87, died May 5 at The Medical Center at Princeton.
Born in Cranbury, he was a lifelong resident.
Mr. Moody was a Navy veteran of World War II, and was honorably discharged in 1945. He formerly worked for Horn and Hardart and Eastdil Realty in New York City and as a crossing guard in Cranbury for 20 years.
He is survived by his wife, Kirklyn Allen Moody of the Bahamas; a daughter, Pamela Moody-Simmons of Cranbury; two sons, Peter Moody of New York City and Edward Douglas of New Brunswick; two sisters, Mabel Smith and Isabelle Owens, both of Hightstown; two granddaughters, Trae Simmons and Marilyn Joie Moody; and one great-granddaughter, Bailei Sanai Simmons.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 N. Main St., Cranbury.
Interment will be private.
Relatives and friends may call today, Friday, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
Betty L. Beam
WEST TRENTON Betty L. Beam, 72, died on May 15 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis, Trenton.
Born and raised in Newville, Pa., she resided in Hightstown and Las Vegas before living in West Trenton. She worked for GBC Electronics and her last employer was CMI in Cranbury. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Hightstown and previously an active member of the Community Lutheran Church of Las Vegas. She was an avid reader and loved to travel. She was a dedicated mother, grandmother and friend.
Daughter of the late Frank and Jeanette Keck and wife of the late Roger M. Beam, she is survived by four daughters and sons-in-law, Malarie Beam of Hightstown, LuAnn and Clem Woroniecki of East Windsor, Kathy and David McKenna of Blountville, Tenn., and Tracy Beam of West Trenton; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kim and Theresa Beam of Trenton, and Keith and Kristine Beam of McDonough, Ga.; a sister and brother-in-law, Joann and Walter Jones of Las Vegas, Nev.; a brother and sister-in-law, John A. and Ruth Keck of Newville, Pa.; six grandchildren, Melissa, Morgan, Katie, Roger, Lisa, and Colleen; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday at A.S. Cole Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury.
Interment was held Wednesday at Westminster Cemetery, Carlisle, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mrs. Beam’s memory to Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Francis Hospital, 601 Hamilton Avenue, Trenton, NJ 08629; Cancer Care, 1000 Herrontown Road, Princeton, NJ 08540; or charity of your choice.
Helen B. Fischer
CRANBURY Helen B. Fischer, 90, died May 13 at Cranbury Health and Rehabilitation Center in Monroe Township.
Born in Philadelphia, she lived in Cranbury most of her life. She was employed for many years at the Hightstown Diner. Mrs. Fischer was a member of St. Anthony’s Roman Catholic Church in Hightstown.
Wife of the late George M. Fischer, sister of the late Anne Crilley and Peter and Michael Brown, and daughter of the late Joseph and Tillie Brown, she is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Milton L. and Camille Fischer of Cranbury; a granddaughter, Stephanie A. Fischer of Cranbury; two granddaughters and their spouses, Francine M. and Michael Coffee of Cranbury and Denise M. and Glen Paesano of Point Plesant Beach; one grandson, Calvin Kaser of Burlington; one brother, Frank Brown of Cranbury; one sister, Mary Laird of Hightstown; six great-grandchildren, Harrison, Connor and Brenden Coffee, Christopher Paesano and Richard and Virginia Kaser; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at St. Anthony of Padua Roman Catholic Church, followed by interment at Holy Cross Burial Park in East Brunswick. Contributions may be made in Mrs. Fischer’s name to the First Aid Squad of Cranbury, Maplewood Avenue, Cranbury, NJ 08512.
