John McCorriston
    JANESVILLE, WIS. — John F. McCorriston, 45, died May 21 at Mercy Hospital, Janesville.
    Born in Riverside to James (Fran) McCorriston and the late Janet Jones McCorriston, he was raised in Florence and had lived in Browns Mills prior to moving to Wisconsin eight years ago.
    Mr. McCorriston, a U.S. Army veteran, had been with General Motors for 26 years, first in Ewing and, most recently, in Janesville. He was a member of U.A.W Local 95 and A.A.
    Surviving are his wife, Donna Corbin McCorriston; his children, Kelly Diabelko, Zachary McCorriston and Cameron McCorriston; his grandson, Corbin Diabelko/Blue; his father, James (Fran) McCorriston of Florence; sisters and brothers-in law Donna and Tim Ryan of Westhampton, Debra Zube and companion John Pappano of Burlington, Peggy and Frank Gonzales of Horsham, Pa. and Kathy and Frank Csik of Burlington; brothers Timothy McCorriston of Florence and Jamie McCorriston of Camden; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
    A memorial mass was held at St. Clare’s Church, Florence, officiated by the Rev. Felix F. Venza, pastor.

Elmer M. Smith
    MILLVILLE — Elmer M. (Ernie) Smith, 83, died May 21 at Millville Nursing Home.
    Born and raised in Burlington City where he graduated from Burlington High School, Mr. Smith had been a resident of Florence for 50 years, moving to Millville 12 years ago.
    A veteran of World War II, he retired in 1972 as a supervisor with Olivetti-Underwood Co. after 26 years.
    A former member of First Wesleyan Church of Florence, he attended the Church of the Nazarene, Millville. He enjoyed woodworking.
    Mr. Smith is survived by Wanda Woeller Smith, his wife of 56 years; three sons, Ernest Smith of Burlington, the Rev. Eric Smith of Huber Heights, Ohio, and Carl Smith of Roebling; a daughter, Faith Hustak of Olean, N.Y.; a sister, Barbara of Wisconsin; a brother, Kenneth Smith of Nebraska; and 10 grandchildren.
    The funeral was Saturday at First Wesleyan Church, Florence, officiated by his son, the Rev. Eric Smith. Burial was in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Burlington.

Krystyna Szewczyk
MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Krystyna Krawczyk Szewczyk, 50, died Sunday at the Compassionate Care Hospice.
    Born in Szczecin, Poland, Mrs. Szewczyk came to the U.S. in 1974 and she lived in Trenton, Lawrenceville, and the past five years in Columbus.
    She was employed for over 20 years with the E.P.V. Co. of Lawrenceville as supervisor technician.
    Daughter of the late Stanislaw Krawczyk, wife of the late Miroslaw Szewczyk, she is survived by two daughters, Linda Szewczyk and Cynthia Szewczyk, both of Columbus; her son, Adam Szewczyk of Columbus; her mother, Marianna Knochowska Krawczyk of Columbus; three brothers and three sisters-
in-law, Bogdan and Barbara Krawczyk of Columbus, Jan and Weronika Krawczyk of White Marsh, Md., Andrzej and Teresa Krawczyk of Forest Hill, Md.; many nieces, nephews and cousins in New Jersey, Maryland and Poland.
    The funeral was held today at the Winowicz Funeral Chapel, 865 Brunswick Ave., Trenton. Funeral Liturgy was celebrated in St. Hedwig’s Church, with Father Felix Schabowski, pastor, officiating.
    Burial will be in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Ewing Township.
James Varslona
    TRENTON — James Varsalona, 85, died Sunday at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
    Born in Casteltermini, Italy, he had resided in Trenton for over 75 years before moving to Bordentown one year ago.
    He had retired from DiTullio Plumbing where he was the office manager. He was a member of St. James Roman Catholic Church where he served as a trustee. He was the past president of the Holy Name Society and the St. James Senior Citizen’s Club. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Trenton Council 355 and was a past president of the Casteltermini Society. He was also active in the Bordentown Chapter of Deborah.
    He is survived by his wife, Rose; a son, Jack of Greenville, Del., a brother, Frank of Bradenton, Fla.; a sister, Josephine of Bordentown Township; two grandchildren, Jacque Rose and Jamie Louise; a special cousin, Josephine Kasa and several nieces and nephews.
    A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Wednesday in St. James Church, 29 Paul Ave., Trenton with interment following in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Hamilton Township.
    Memorial contributions may be made to St. James Church.
Barbara P. Brophy
    BORDENTOWN TOWNSHIP — Barbara R. Plumley Brophy, 60, died May 22 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
   Born in Corning, N.Y., she lived in New Jersey over 51 years. She had been employed for the past 20 years as the registrar in the emergency room at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Hamilton.
    Daughter of the late Fred A. and Anna Luffred Plumley, she is survived by her husband, Jack Harris; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Dale R. and Shirley Brophy of Melbourne, Fla., Drew A. and Michelle Brophy of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Darl J. Brophy of Bordentown Township; a daughter and son-
in-law, Dawn and Edward Ellingham of Juliustown; two stepsons, Keith A. Harris of Chicago, Ill. and Jon and his wife Holly Harris of Philadelphia; three sisters and two brothers-in-
law, Camille and George Acolia of Columbus, Karen Plumley of Bordentown Township, and Gloria and Blair Branin of Trenton; a dear friend Mildred Lucas of Columbus; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services were held on Tuesday from the Buklad Yardville Memorial Chapel, 30 Yardville Allentown Road, Yardville, with Jeffrey F. Pierfy, chaplain at Robert Wood Johnson, officiating.
    Burial followed in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery in Hamilton.
Jose L. Ramirez
    FIELDSBORO — Jose L. Ramirez, 59, of Fieldsboro died Saturday at his home.
    Born in Mayaquez, Puerto Rico, he had resided in Fieldsboro since 1976. A veteran of the U.S. Navy, he was employed by the state Department of Corrections as an Institutional Trade Instructor.
    He is survived by his wide, Myra "Miranda" Ramirez; a son and daughter-in-law, Anthony and Kimberly Ramirez of Tennessee, three daughters and son-
in–law, Jacqueline Ramirez of Texas, Jennifer and Joseph Coffaro of North Brunswick and Lissette Ramirez of Fieldsboro; his mother, Luz Ramirez Cruz of Puerto Rico; four brothers; five sisters; eight grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
    A memorial service was held today at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown.

Yolanda A. Rehling
    MANSFIELD TOWNSHIP — Yolanda Arceri Rehling of the Homestead section of Mansfield Township died Saturday at Virtua-Memorial Hospital in Mt. Holly.
    She was born in Staten Island, N.Y., and resided there for much of her life before moving to Homestead in 1990. She was employed as a case worker for the New York Department of Welfare for over 22 years.
    She is survived by her husband, William; two sons and daughter-in-law, John and Patricia Arceri of Pound Ridge, N.Y., and Joseph Arceri of Framingham, Mass; two step-
daughters and son-in-law, Kathleen and Albert Wright of Walden, N.Y., and Derica Rehling of Tampa, Fla.; a brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Helen Reres of Staten Island, N.Y.; two grandchildren, Jessica and Jocelyn Arceri; and a great-
grandchild, Abe Orion Williams.
    A remembrance and eulogy was held Wednesday at the Huber-Moore Funeral Home, 517 Farnsworth Ave., Bordentown. Interment followed in the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery today.
Eleanor L. Elisio
    MERCERVILLE — Eleanor L. Elisio, 87, died May 19 at home.
   Born in Ardmore, Pa., Mrs. Elisio resided in the Trenton area for more than 50 years.
   She was a graduate of Lower Merion High School class of 1935. She was a member of St. James Church in Trenton, and was a homemaker.
   Daughter of the late John and Rachel Faino Marmora and wife of the late Frank P. Elisio, she is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law, Frances L. and Gary Fisher, and Louise A. and Maurice J. Jones of Florence; three grandchildren, Richard Petrillo and his wife, Holly, Daniel and Michael Jones; one great-granddaughter, Nicole Sage Petrillo; two stepgrandchildren, Denise Sciarrotta and Gary Fisher Jr.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
   Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. James Roman Catholic Church, East Paul Avenue in Trenton.
   Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
Ruth Taylor
    BURLINGTON — Ruth Taylor (nee Engle), age 81, died May 18 at the Medford Leas Care Center in Medford.
   Mrs. Taylor was born in Voorhees where she lived until moving to Burlington. She was a longtime resident of Burlington before moving to Medford several years ago.
   She was a member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Burlington, a 4-H leader for over 20 years, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Haddonfield Grange, the NJ Farm Bureau and the Garden Club of Burlington. She was a master quilter who loved gardening and also enjoyed china painting. Mrs. Taylor loved the beach and was an avid music lover, particularly of opera.
   She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Daughter of the late Clarence J. and Ruth Engle (nee Stratton) and wife of the late Harold H. Taylor, Sr. Mrs. Taylor is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Rick Skinner of Lumberton, Kathryn Taylor and Robert Kloss of Redding, Conn. and Donna and Gerard Hlubik of Chesterfield; her son Harold H. Taylor, Jr. of Westgrove, Pa.; her grandchildren Erin Skinner, Robert and James Kloss, Cathryn Stewart Browning and her husband Nathan, Christine Stewart Arcese and her husband Eric and Thomas Hlubik; her great grandchildren Emma and Mae Browning. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
   Funeral services were held on May 21 in St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, Burlington. Burial followed in St. Mary’s Churchyard.
   Memorial contributions made to St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, 145 W. Broad Street, Burlington, NJ 08016 would be appreciated by Mrs. Taylor’s family.

Leanilda Tobin
    TRENTON – Leanilda Tobin, 100, died May 19 in the Mill House Residential and Health Care Center.
   Born in New Brunswick, Mrs. Tobin lived in the Trenton area most of her life. She was a long time member of the St. Gregory The Great Senior Citizens Club.
   Daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Hines Willever, wife of the late James P. Tobin, mother of the late William J. Tobin, mother-in-law to the late John Haws, and sister to the late Ethel Lechner, she is survived by; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Lorraine Haws of Yardville, Joan and Norman Smith of Columbus, Leanilda and Edwin Hollins of Seaside Park and Holmes Beach, Fla., Patricia and LeRoy Hoch of Hamilton Township, and Jacqueline and Frank Stillitano of Bensalem; 18 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
   Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on May 24 in St Gregory the Great Church. Burial was in Our Lady of Lourdes Cemetery.
   Arrangements were under the direction of the Hartman Funeral Home, 2830 Nottingham Way.
Robert K. Rockhill
    MOCKSVILLE, N.C. — Robert K. Rockhill, 73, died on Jan. 10 in Mocksville, N.C. A retired banker, he had lived in the Carolinas for the last 22 years. He was born in Bordentown and attended school there until he became a student and choir boy at the Cathedral of St. John Devine in New York City. He graduated from Bordentown Military Institute and Seton Hall College.
   He is survived by his wife, Aris Kassell; three children, Christine Lane of Glen Ridge, Victoria Schneider of Boca Raton, Fla., Robert K. Rockhill, Jr. of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and seven grandchildren. Also surviving are; sisters, Jeanne R. Youngs of Medord, Anne R. Stevenson of Springfield; and a brother, Fred D. Rockhill Jr. of Jenson Beach, Fla.
   A memorial service will be held at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Bordentown on Saturday, June 7 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at the Jacobstown Cemetery.
Elaine H.S. Brandt
    FORKED RIVER — Elaine H.S. Brandt, 85, died May 25 at Our Lady of Lourdes Medical Center, Burlington Division.
   Mrs. Brandt was born in Trenton and was a resident of Haddonfield for 10 years and a resident of Forked River for many years.
   She was the former president and owner of the Hulslander Engraving Company in Trenton. She was a member of the Soroptomist International of Trenton and a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star Morningstar Chapter 22.
   Daughter of the late Harley A. and Emilie Winkler Hulslander, Sr.; wife of the late James H. Seibert and Charles R. Brandt, Sr., she is survived by a son, James R. Seibert of Bordentown; two stepsons, Charles R. Brandt, Jr. and Carlton Brandt; one sister, Onla Frese of Miami, Fla.; one sister-in-law, Peggy Hulslander of Hamilton, many nieces and nephews.
   Graveside services were held today at the Ewing Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Scotch Road, Ewing. The Rev. Carol Wagg officiated.
